“Perfect place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2014

Loved it. Great place to stay! Very, very friendly and helpful staff; comfortable beds; safe neighborhood. Sunny rooms with large windows; door separates LR/DR/Kitchen area from bedrooms. Stayed in 2-BR suite for 2 weeks and more family in 2nd 2-BR suite for 1 week. They promised to co-locate the 2 apts and delivered on their promise. Newly renovated (2012), with all major appliances, incl wash/dryer combo. Note that appliance instructions are in back of guest book. Very easy walk to Tube station (even with 6-year-old) with lines going straight to Heathrow airport and the major tourist sites. Glouscester Rd Tube station is in Zone 2 - covered by Day Passes. Also easy walk to V&A, Science and Nat History Museums (all worthwhile). Lots of good restaurants on Gloucester Road. 24-hour receptionist/concierge. 2 blocks to either of 2 grocery stores. Elevator. Connected with Ashburn Hotel next door. *No maid service on Sundays. Maids tend to come later in afternoon. Evans & Evans and Global Tours both pick up at Holiday Inn in next block. Would go back to stay at this serviced apt in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Each room is different configuation as they retrofitted a hotel into a former private residence. 102...

4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2013

I stayed in these apartments for a month in Summer 2013. The apartments were available for short/long lets. Eventually I was attracted by it's location - just in the heart of Soth Ken: 3 mins walk to Gloucester road tube station (District/Piccadilly lines), 10 mins walk to Hyde park, 3 mins walk to boots & groceries 24h TESCO & Waitrose. Actually I preffered the last one because of a great choice & better quality. In addition there was an option to order delivery of any purchase higher 50 pounds. 7 mins walk to Natural History museum, Imperial College and Lycee Francais. Worth to mention that there were plenty of good restaurants around. It seems that the building was refurbished max a year ago, so everything looked fresh, nice and tidy. Personel was so friendly and helpful, that we felt like we stayed at our friend's house. Our 2 bedroom apartment was at the 2nd floor. There were only 2 flats on the floor. The flat was bright and airy due to high ceilings. Master bedroom had in-suite bathroom. Kitchen was fully equipped: dishwasher, cook top, oven, microwave, fridge, kettle, washing mashine with dryer. Everything was brand new. Since the flat was made on a daily basis tea/coffe/sugar bags and dishwasher tablets were added daily. TV sets were in the each of the rooms with a great choice of channels.Worth to mention that summer in 2013 in London was extremely hot. Everage outside temperature during our stay was around 28-30C. So we were lucky to enjoy fully airconditioned building. Master bedroom was very quiet because it faced the back yard. While living room and the second bedroom faced literally Cromwell road which was very busy 24 hours a day. Since there were no double glazed windows it was pretty noisy in both of the rooms facing Cromwell road. Wi fi internet was available in whole flat. We just asked to print one password for each of the devices at the reception. Though the quality of the internet connection needs to be improved. When I was planning the trip I was a bit worried that the building would be occupied by students, but it turned out that our neibours were families from all over the world, so we had no issues with loud music or night celebrations.

I stayed in these apartments for 4 months in 2011. Im not sure how much has changed since then here, believe me, these are like a mansion when you see what else is available in London unles you want to spend hundreds and hundreds per night. Being right in Kensington is very nice (one of the "it" places to live!) Very safe and close to restaurants. You are 3 minutes away from Gloucester tube station and have 2 grocery stores right there. Every room looks a little different in the place, pretty standard for a city with older building renovated to be apartments. You get your own bathroom and kitchen with utensils and pots etc (both sometimes rare in hotels) and a nice sized living room with tv (also very rare in hotels.) Beds are small. They even have an elevator (though small and very slow.) Washer and dryer in basement. The sups are very nice. The only drag I would say is the noise! If you are staying at a time when there are students living here, it can sound like a dorm. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: rooms either face the street or the inner courtyard. I faced the street and liked being able to look...
