Excellent hotel with a fantastic location. the 1 room suite was well kept and equipped excellently. they certainly know how to treat their Indian guests well which includes a printed copy of the times of India every morning what more can one ask for... what london hotels should learn from them is that u dont ask for 2 quid for ice every time u call for it or charge for forks and knives come one if ur paying 300 pounds a night this should be complimentary as a courtesy... feels like home away from home

We'd arranged to stay at the Crowne Plaza where we've stayed quite a few times now - we like the location and the ambience of the plave - nice un-stuffy place to chill out and relax. On checking in, the receptionist announced that we had been upgraded to a suite at 51 Buckingham Gate (which is right next door to the Crown Plaza, overlooking the central courtyard) – very nice!

Very pleasant young lady showed the way up to the suite which was pretty much a fully equipped one bedroom apartment – very impressive (I wished that we’d arranged to stay for the whole weekend rather than for just one night).

After an evening out (Jools Holland at the Royal Albert Hall) we returned to the busy foyer at the Crowne Plaza for a late night snack and drinks – food served very promptly and very nice (service was attentive without being overbearing). Nice way to relax and round off the evening.

Returning to the suite it had everything we could possibly require and more including three (!) televisions - huge bathroom with a big bath tub and separate walk in shower - very comfortable bed and slept really well (although the Johnny walker from the mini-bar probably helped a little with that). It was nice to be able to make tea in the morning using a proper tea pot.

Breakfast in the Bistro next morning was a busy affair (we somehow contrived to arrive at peak time) – the staff were rushed off their feet but coped really well with the demand for tables and in restocking the impressive hot and cold breakfast buffet.

Special mention to the staff at the hotel – the front desk, the waiters in the bar and in the bistro, the concierge and the staff attending the rooms – very personable, always a smile and a friendly greeting and always willing to help – this for us is what makes 51 Buckingham Gate and the Crowne Plaza really stand out.

A lovely stay and all too brief – we’ll be back.

I stayed here for 2 nights in November and had a great time! The staff was very courteous and the suite was very comfortable and luxurious-as you would expect. It was my wife's birthday and they were nice enough to send a plate of chocolates with Happy Birthday written on it. The location is superb. All in all I had a great time.

We stayed in a two-bedroom suite for 5 days while in London for a family event and could not have been happier. The location is perfect; just a few minutes walk to Westminster and Buckingham Palace, and easy walking distance from Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, etc. The staff was extremely helpful, and the suite was beautiful. The kitchen was a real plus; it was well stocked with coffee, espresso, etc., and the ability to make a quick breakfast in the room let us get out early enough to avoid the crowds at places like the Tower of London. We would definitely come back again.

Room Tip: There is a school and a lot of construction on the southwest side of the hotel. Not a problem if yo...

Although we haven't yet stayed at this lovely hotel my husband and I visited for the second time today for champagne afternoon tea. The surroundings are impressive but comfortable, and it's not at all snoooty like some other london hotels. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, service was excellect and nothing was too much trouble.

We are planning to stay at the hotel for a special occasion and were shown one of the suite;, I can only say WOW!

Well located for site seeing, about a 15-20 minute walk from Westminster.

Hotel has big rooms in an expensive city which is a plus. Staffs are friendly. One occasion, towels wasn't up to par. Washroom still need some work. Kitchen is fantastic just like home. the room has a washing machine. front desk clerk Monica is helpful. I'm pleased with her service. Business center is great asset for the business travelers with both Mac & PC computer. Newspaper were delivered on time. This Hotel is quite hidden from the Main Streets. At first I had difficulty finding the place My suite is very clean. staffs gave lots care for the stay. All things were functioning, it's a plus for the hotel. Too bad I lost cellphone by pickpocket on the second day in London.
