“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

The park paza is situated 10 min away from the Vauxhall underground station. The staff is very nice, the bedroom clean but...the sound damping was poor for an hotel of this level. A bit disapointed on this particular topic.

We have stayed here three times now and have not been disappointed. The Riverbank Plaza is a modern clean and friendly hotel. The breakfast is superb and it's one of the reasons we keep going back, the staff at breakfast are only too willing to help and there's a huge selection to accommodate most people. It's location is perfect just a fifteen minute walk along the riverbank to the center of London. River taxis are also available close by or if you prefer you can hire one of Boris' bikes which are also located nearby.

This hotel did everything it said on the tin. Have stayed before and had a similar experience. Upgrading to a suite was definitely worthwhile for us - the view from the room over the river was absolutely fantastic.

Very pleasant hotel - we were on the 9th floor and it was very quiet - the room had everything you could possibly need including efficient air conditioning tea and coffee facilities and a modern and clean bathroom. Very good breakfast everything you could possibly want to eat. A 15 min walk to Vauxhall underground or there is a good bus service to the south bank etc.

A word of warning drinks in the hotel bar are very expensive indeed but apart from that a decent London hotel at a reasonable price compared to some others.

Room Tip: We did not have a river view but it was very quiet indeed and so had a good nights sleep just depend...

Recently booked 4 rooms for a 1 night stay for a family celebration. There were some problems with our booking on arrival, however, Dipendra on check in was fantastic and sorted them all out. He was polite, and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and he really made us feel welcome.

Pro's
Large, well equipped rooms
Friendly helpful staff
Comfortable beds
Amazing views from river view rooms from the upper floor rooms
Great restaurant

Con's
Rooms had a musty smell on arrival but this seemed to go after window was open for a short while
Shower cubicle leaked in one room, whole bathroom floor was covered with water
Building works and large crane outside (obscured river view from 5th floor room)
Automatic doors on entrance closed on me as I was walking through them which hurt my hand, not sure the sensors should let that happen.

We dined in Chino Latino, the hotel restaurant. We were a table of 8 and pre ordered our food for ease. I never really have high expectations for hotel restaurants but the food was fantastic, it was really tasty and well cooked. Again the staff were polite and friendly and looked after us well.

Would stay again.

Room Tip: River view suites or rooms on higher floors worth the extra money so would recommend upgrading

I had requested a twin room, but it wasn't available upon arrival, so I had to change rooms during my second day. Apart from that, everything was lovely and the staff was really helpful. The rooms were nice too. Wifi was really unstabile though and there was construction work being done outside the hotel which blocked the view, but that isn't really that uncommon in London..

Where to begin? My stay was in conjunction with a conference that was disrupted by construction noise, despite assurances it would not be. The Wi-Fi experience was miserable throughout my stay. The concierge knew nothing about the local bars and recommended a cash machine down the road that was out of service. When I asked that my room not be made up (so that I could work in the room all afternoon) it was anyway. The shower stall was too small, and I'm not a big guy. No food was available before 0700, which is unacceptably late in a conference hotel. The service in the basement breakfast restaurant was quite poor; it took well over half an hour for five omelets to be served, with a ten minute gap between the first three and the final two. A special non-dairy order -- of scrambled eggs, a bagel, and margarine -- had been made in advance for one breakfast during our conference for one of our members. When it finally came, it was fried eggs; the explanation we were given was that the scrambled eggs were made in advance, with dairy. If you can fry eggs, why can't you can scramble them? The order also had ham on the eggs and some sort of non-gluten bread. Our member, a vegetarian, didn't appreciate the inclusion of pork. And why was the special order taken, if it couldn't be fulfilled? Some of the staff didn't speak English well enough; this is to be expected in Vienna or Beijing, but not in London. Others in our group had even worse complaints, for example, of rooms that were dirty, smelly, and noisy, and staff that were unresponsive to these problems. On the plus side, the bathroom towels were great--very absorbent. There was margarine readily available, something not found in many hotels. And the restaurant’s sushi was quite good.
