“Reception staff rude and breakfast was very poor.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

Reception staff on our visit very rude, did not tell us about parking charges and needing a ticket to out, upon check out drove to barrier and of course did not work no ticket. Had to go back to reception where we were told there was a £7 charge, back down to the car to get the money, Reception is on the 1st floor so very annoying. Tried to blame a trainee in our opinion they could all do with some training. I am sure there are better hotels near the O2 Arena even if you have to take a cab ride.

Room Tip: Not sure there are any, very basic , AC very noisy in our room.

When we booked tickets to the ATP Finals tennis at the O2, we also booked to stay here the night before and the night after. This is the second year we have done this and this year’s stay was better than last. Staying over at the hotel is very convenient, it means we don’t have to join the throng of people heading to the tube station after the event, and it doesn’t matter how late the event finishes, as we don’t need to worry about when the last tube leaves. We were lucky with the weather too, our walk from the hotel to the O2 in the morning and back again in the evening was dry, so no rain to dampen our spirits.

We are loyalty club members and were given a room on the top floor. The rooms are a good size, with a sofa bed giving the option of sitting somewhere other than on the bed, and they contain everything you need for a short stay. We were pleased to find that the free Wi-Fi is now available throughout the hotel, not just in the public areas, which is a great improvement and it worked well. Breakfast is an added bonus and set us up for the day. The service we received was good too, including a quick call from the reception desk about 15 minutes after we checked in, to ask if everything was OK with our room, which was a nice touch.

We will definitely stay here again whenever we are visiting the O2.

My wife and I went to a gig at the O2 London and stayed at this hotel overnight afterwards. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the service, room quality, facilities and location were all brilliant. Woudl definitely recommend this hotel!

We stayed here for two nights whilst we saw some sights of London.

We drove to the hotel and parked in the car park, loads of spaces. We left the car for the two nights and walked to the tube to go anywhere. The tube station, near the O2 is only 10 minutes walk away, although you could catch a bus.

The room was ideal for the two of us and we weren't in it for much of the time. Plenty of space, clean, functional and, I would imagine, similar to thousands of other rooms in the chain.

Check in and out were quick and painless with no issues at all.

Breakfast was a vast array of continental items, with sausages eggs and beans if you fancied something more English. Signs around the hotel showed the quieter and busier times for breakfast, with green being early, through to red being the last hour. We went down during amber time but there wasn't a queue and plenty of food.

Would recommend for a stay in London, or even just for a visit to the O2, with its arena, cinema, restaurants and bars.

Friendly staff, basic rooms, family room is very small and would only suit a family of 3,
Iv stayed in a holiday inn before and the breakfast was great so this one was a massive let down, especially when sight seeing in London,
Amazing location for the 02 Arena!!!
But if you need some where to stay before or after going to O2 this is the best one for you. X

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review following your recent stay with us.
It is very encouraging to read that you enjoyed the perfect location of our hotel as well as friendliness of our staff.
The capacity of our family rooms is 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (children stay free). But we are always more than happy to offer some adjoining rooms for those who require more space.
Our free breakfast is called ‘Express’ because we only offer three cooked options (sausages, scrambled eggs and beans). I do appreciate that you had a better experience in standard Holiday Inn but please allow me to clarify that we are different than full service brands.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for staying with us and I do hope we will have a pleasure to welcoming you back soon.

Kind regards,

Paulina Poskrobko

Arrived fairly late in the evening, simple bus connection from North Greenwich station then a 5 minute walk - depending which bus you get! Simple, friendly check in, rooms easy to find although you do have to remember to put key in the lift, great security but a bit of a hassle.
Rooms just as booked with sofa bed made, only problem was your head is lower than your feet so had to sleep opposite way round. Breakfast is free, as too the wifi - code given on checkin without asking - great addition by HI Express! Breakfast food was quite ok, it was just a bit of a scramble to get food, a clean table etc etc. Did the job tho so no complaints!

Not a lot you can say about these places, they don't pretend to be other than what they are but then that's what keeps the cost down. So yes, the room was clean and comfortable with a nice big TV and the breakfast food was adequate . Perhaps the biggest plus was the location, about a 20 minute walk to Greenwich or two minutes to the bus stop and with great views from the front side to the O2, the Sky Train and the Millenium Village. One minor gripe was the lifts, only two between so many rooms!
Well it was our third long weekend stay at this place so that can't be bad.

Room Tip: Front side for the view, the higher the better!
