“Everything comes together”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

Long term member of the chain's loyalty programme, noticed it had been recently renewed. The room at the back of the hotel was immaculately clean and quiet, terrific price, internet and newspapers available. Location is very good - one stop on the Metropolitan line to Baker Street, two stops to Bond Street. Lots of convenience shops and places to eat just across the road.

The rate includes breakfast and this was the only weak point that stops me giving it the 5 star rating, but then at the rate we paid, what can you expect. However, it was totally adequate.

The staff were very helpful throughout and the taxi service they ordered for us (not a black cab) was excellent and good value for money.

Room Tip: Try to get a room NOT facing Finchely Road - lots of traffic.

Stayed 2 nights in April on business. Good value for London - although the rooms are fairly small they are comfortable. Usual breakfast fare but can get crowded around the buffet table at times.
Pleasant staff. Tube only a few minutes away and shopping centre with Sainsburys across the road (Waitoses further down the road) as well as Waterstones. Good chinese restaurant if you turn left as you leave and walk down the hill about 10 minutes The Green Cottage - eaten there twice in the past year.

Just back from an excellent weekend break to London - made all the better by a very comfortable stay at HIE. As priority club members we already new what standard to expect and the Swiss Cottage hotel didn't disappoint. Very close to tube and jubilee line took us straight into the centre in 10 mins. Breakfast was ideal and we had no issues with dining room. A couple of restaurants within walking distance so all good.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at back of hotel.

I am going to keep this short and sweet. The service was great, the rooms were clean and well kept, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was great! The location alone is the best reason to stay here close to everything you would need. Bars, Shopping, Banks, grocerie stores. Oh how we loved our stay there.

Excellent hotel, spotlessly clean, friendly helpful staff and fantastic location, good choice for breakfast although can get a bit busy. 2 minute walk to underground with direct link to Jubilee line. Wetherspoons, Sainsbury's, Movie Theatre directly across the road.

Room Tip: If a light sleeper ask for room at the back of hotel as road at front is pretty busy.

The best two things about this hotel are its location and cleanliness. Central London is just a 6 minute ride from the tube station which is a 2 minute walk across the street. The rooms, bathrooms and common area are all clean. The breakfast area is a bit small. The car park is tiny and somewhat expensive.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms overlooking Finchley Road at all cost. The street is very noisy at night, especially on...
