“WHAT A DUMP”

Very run down the hotel needs some money spent on it..... The absolute worst part for me was the smell in the drain when using the basin! It was putrid! The staff hardly speak English! Breakfast was good enough. Definitely won't be going back EVER!

The room was small, but clean and the bathroom was nice, however, there is nothing else favourable about this hotel.
Our room was described as a 'superior room' on the lower ground floor. The radiator was on high all night, the room was like a sauna and we had no heat controller. There is a large air conditioning unit in the room, but this made the room freezing. We hardly slept all night as we were alternating between too hot and too cold - it was very uncomfortable.
The dining room is tiny and we had to book a time for breakfast as they cannot accommodate too many people all at once. Even with a booking we had to wait for a table to become available, and this was only after they moved another guest to different table so they could squeeze us in!!
We would definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Find another hotel!!

I stayed only one night, but I loved it. My room was quite Lilliputian, but it was lovely arranged. I had in a tiny place everything I needed. There is a lovely back yard that you may enjoy in warm days and good weather (which was not the case when I stayed there!). You have a good connection to internet and the breakfast is excellent. It's great location and friendly staff are their best assets!

Room Tip: Do not stay in the basement rooms: that's the place for breakfast and could be noisy in early mo...

We have stayed in 3 B & B's in this area and this probably not quite as good as the other two. We had a room on the second floor which was clean and tidy. It comes with a fridge and microwave and tea/coffee facilities, all good ! The bathroom though was tiny but for a short stay it will suffice. Wi fi worked well and its a quick walk from Euston and about 20 mins to the strand/theatre area.
Service on check in was good and also in the dining room. The full English at breakfast was very good but you cant have cereal as well ! Very unusual for a B & B. You got the feeling that what was served was it, no more toast or tea etc was offered on our 2 night stay, to us or anyone else. You also only get 1 egg when asking for poached eggs in the morning, all a bit mean in this day and age. Food and cleanliness are tbe 2 key components of a good stay and it wouldnt take much to improve it. Also, a plate to butter your toast on would be good, its no good in your hand !
It sounds a bit negative but whilst i would look elsewhere for my next stay in London, i would stay again, as its a good area etc, but stick to the full english in the morning!

Dreadful - hated it. Small pokey room on the round floor, other residents clattering through noisy fire doors all night long. Very dark with no view.
Excellent freshly cooked breakfast, pleasant staff, but couldn't wait to leave. Really spoilt our evening out at the theatre and too tired the next morning after no sleep to be bothered doing anything much except catch the train home.

Room Tip: Go next door

Our 2nd visit. Both times in basement rooms which were quirky _ the cabins cabin was fun. Great location.free WiFi and good facilities.back garden nice in summer. Friendly staff and good breakfast.this has become our bolt hole for London stopover.

This is a very nice hotel walking distance from the British Museum. The breakfast was great - lots of choices and prompt table service in an intimate setting. Beds were soft, room was quiet (we had the executive room in the basement) and the internet was good. In addition to being an easy walk to the British Museum, the hotel is walking distance to several underground stops and several reasonably priced restaurants.
