“Depends on what you'd like to do...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

Well,ThamesRiver is just like any other river, nothing extraordinary about it,but they do do boat trips so i think that's worth doing,it lets you see all the things along the river including the O2 Arena and St.Paul's Cathedral, and you can hop off at any stop and explore a different part of the city.

“London's river - the reason for this amazing city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

Without the river London wouldn't exist. So much of the history of London is tied up in the river.

Take a riverboat - preferably all the way to Greenwich and see so much of the history of London. Otherwise walk along the Embankment and marvel.

Ideally do both! Do it by day and do it by night.

“Definitely worth going on the cable cars for the view over the river Thames”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

I went to the inauguration of the Shard building which was all lit up in July 2012 near the Tower of London......
Prince Andrew was there and he also later in August abseiled down the Shard with other celebrities to raise money for charities........
The night of the Inauguration of the Shard based near London Bridge was amazing and the Shard was lit up in changing colours every few minutes.....
It was difficult to leave that night from that area as it was so special and maybe never to be repeated. We also saw Tower bridge open to let a tall ship go under which was also special. Of course London was also getting prepared for the Olympics at that time as well and there were giant olympic rings on Towr bridge and also on the river Thames......
The whole of the Thames was lit up that night that made it an even more special experience - despite there being too many people there that night....
The river Thames is always a special place to go to especially in the summer and there is now the opportunity to take a cable car across the river Thames too now from where the Dome used to be that is now known as the O2 centre. You can use an Oyster card for the trip that only takes around 7 minutes each way, and is a great way for people now to get to work from that area too as that area of London gets developed after the 2012 London Olympics and Paralympic games......
Definitely worth going on the cable cars for the view over the river Thames........

“Thames Clipper”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

One of the best ways of getting around. Use your Oyster Card and get a discount then sample a great way to get around. After you get below Tower Bridge they really open the throttles and you speed down river . There are frequent stops, food and drink on board, informative friendly staff and a very frequent service. Next time we are going to get a day rover ticket and look for all the places and sites close to the stop that we can visit. This is much more than just a mode of transport, give it a try.
