“Very nice hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2011

I stay here pretty frequently. I really wish there was a way to give 4.5 stars. Place is really nice, clean relatively quiet and they work hard to make you feel welcome. Slight issue with quality of service once in a while, little oversights here and there but even they are minor and always resolved with humor and good will. Hotel isn't quite at the world class 5 star level but for central London is pretty great.

Nice gym. Lackluster massage therapists.

Room Tip: Upper floors away from either front or back entrances.

This was our second time staying here for a full week, 8 nights to be exact. The hotel was as great as ever. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, everything was perfect! The staff is top notch, great, friendly, helpful...I can't say enough good things about them. The conceirge guys were so nice and helpful from giving directions, opinions on museums, gettting us a last minute restaurant reservation (calling all over to find us one), car service, and just chatting with us. The room was very nice again. Comfy bed, nice decor, huge sitting area, great big bathroom, robe for use. We had breakfast with our stay and I can't say enough good things about the waiters/managers who go to know us since we were there so long and chatted with us and made us feel so welcome. We loved every minute of our stay there again and we can't wait to go back!! Yes it might be pricey but you get what you pay for and it was well worth it!!

Stayed for a weekend early November 2011. We went to Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club which is just around the corner, and that was really the main reason we chose this hotel. But we will definitely be back. This is now our favourite hotel in London, and we've stayed in plenty. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food was great, the bar was buzzing and exciting. And the room (a junior suite)..... well it was stunning, comfortable, spacious (quite unusual in London). All in all a great experience. Well done!

We stayed in this hotel last month for a weekend away from the dusty Middle East. What a great experience - this has now become my favourite hotel in London.

The check in staff arranged a (very) early check in for us - we arrived around 9am - and whilst our room was not ready when we arrived, it was ready within an hour. The rooms are gorgeous, massive by London Standards and have really nice little touches (like ipod docs etc).

The Hotel is in a great location - close to Soho, very close to Oxford Street, a perfect base for a relaxing weekend.

We'll definitely be back :)

Stayed one night. Fab hotel, stunningly decorated huge rooms (we got upgraded to a two bed apartment which I could have easily moved into and not ever left). Staff very friendly and helpful without being overly obsequious like some top hotels in London. We had tuna steaks for dinner and they were really yummy and fresh. The breakfast was amazing and they even have soya milk and gluten free bread which most hotels do not have. The bathrooms looked new and were all granite. No complaints at all. One very funy thing, the apartment we stayed in has offices opposite - not a problem as there are blinds and curtains at the windows but one of the offices has a photograph of a face stuck to the window and in the dark it looked as if a creepy looking man was staring into our room, I screamed and jumped a mile until I realised it was just a photo.

Ok very belated review but i need to reverse my previous comments on the hotel. Stayed there for one night in August as my primary Firmdale choice was full and what a complete change from my last review. Got a truly awesome upgrade to a penthouse suite from a booked deluxe room, reception staff were aware of my booking through my Tablet Hotels membership and all was in order, other staff were great top to bottom, obviously my previous stay was a one-off.
Welcome back to my list Soho!
