“An intimate fine dining experience ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

There were four of us and all left raving about how good the service, food and atmosphere was. We even got to chat to Marianne at the end of service, hearing her enthusiasm for her ingredients, dishes and restaurant was the perfect end to a fantastic evening. The main of venison was superb and the salted caramel ice cream was delicious! The menu changes often so hope to go again soon!

“Simply brilliant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2014

Without doubt this tiny gem of a restaurant successfully combines all the elements of a fine-dining experience in a charming and relaxing environment. Beautifully decorated in subtle soft-green paintwork with gentle wall lighting and luxurious furnishing, first impressions are of entering an elegant private dining room rather than a London restaurant. The Maitre d’hôte, Matthew provided a warm welcome, and guided my wife and I through the carefully-crafted menu and wine list with great skill - unobtrusive yet always attentive. The quality and freshness of the ingredients was beyond reproach; it is difficult to find criticism of any of the wonderfully creative dishes produced by Marianne and her expert team. The ceviche of Hebridean scallops were succulent and the fillet of Wagyu beef a particular delight in flavour and texture. We loved the experience from beginning to end and can recommend Marianne's restaurant most highly to the most discerning diner in the land.

“A cosy spot to eat in Notting Hill”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2014

Perhaps the smallest restaurant in London but one with some of the best, if not the best, food. The decor is perfect for a relaxed meal with partner or friends with first class service from Matthew the knowledgable Maitre d'. The food Marianne produces very much confirms her place as a MasterChef finalist and potential Michelin Star holder. About to make my next booking.

“Consistently the highest standard”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2014

I visited Marianne with my husband and two friends recently. This was my third visit and the standard has remained the very highest and we were not disappointed.
The starter of scallops, fresh from the Hebrides that morning was superb and also the ravioli of rabbit. The main courses of Wagyu beef and turbot also were excellent. However, my favourite pudding was the rhubarb souffle which was quite exquisite.
The atmosphere is happy and calm in a beautiful environment with everyone quietly savouring the fabulous food and wine. The whole restaurant team play their part in supporting Marianne's skills to make this a highly recommended destination.
I am already planning my next visit.
