Small and basic rooms, but clean and contained everything you needed.

Ensuite was very small but again contained everything you need.

Staff very helpful.

Easy to find location with secure off road parking.

Half the price you'd expect for a similar hotel in this area. Probably the best budget hotel I've stayed at in London

Very close to finsbury park tube station and many services around. Few minutes to reach the city center. Cheap and unusual place to enjoy london. Quite zone. Nice staff. Rooms cleaned. Breakfast good enough. Four days without any problem .

Disgusting Double room, cracks in the walls and ceiling, the smell from the grubby on suit was terrible, no head board on bed one side of bed against the wall, late night receptionest very rude and inconsiderate....... The room did'nt bare any resemblance to the pictures on the web site.

Room Tip: Book another hotel don't be fooled with the picture on there web site

The first thing that I noticed was that the shower mat had traces of human waste/excrement on it. That would be enough. Of course it's cheap, but this unhygienic. Internet did not work in the room, the sheets were filled with dirty spots, the furniture was dirty, the floors were dirty, the room smelled. One of the worst experience in my life.

Had a single room for overnight stay. Nice friendly staff, nice clean hotel in a decent area overlooking Finsbury Park. Safe car parking, (and they let me stay until late afternoon of checkout day at no extra cost). Paid for a lovely full English breakfast, nice food/snacks for sale and drinks were inexpensive. Small single room had all the basics, the only blip was the fact that the rooms had laminate flooring so unfortunately I had a room above me where they were up to travel for 6am and for an hour it sounded like a herd of elephants above me. When they left I nodded of again, but this was the only downer...Would stay again if needed to.

Room Tip: Get a top floor room then you don't get the noise of people above you on their laminate flooring...

Just stayed at the Pembury for 4 nights for my birthday. Shared a twin room with my daughter on the ground floor next to the outside smoking area. I would stay at this hotel again for several reasons; location to the tube station in zone 2 gave us access to all parts of the city on the Victoria and Piccadilly lines. Access to value priced shops, like Lidl, for sandwiches etc were invaluable when a sandwich in one of the museums was £5.50! Although breakfast was just cereal, toast, cheese & ham slices it was still a meal we didn't have to buy unlike the other budget hotels like travel lodge. I paid £325 for 4 nights through booking.com and from reading through other reviews it seems like quite a few people are allocated the rooms on the ground floor.
As far as the hotel goes if you don't have too high an expectation you won't be disappointed! The floors are all laminate and the walls are quite thin so it can be noisy. Also, have an open mind about the tiny bathroom. People are not exaggerating when the say, on here, how tiny it is. But if you're not bothered, don't let it put you off.
Yes, sometimes the shower didn't work very well. The sink is too small to wash or clean your teeth in and it can be noisy but the location, for me, far outweighed the other inconveniences. Oh and if you get a very large bath sheet in your room, it's probably mine, because the maid took it by mistake and I didn't get it back! Enjoy your stay - we had a great time!

Room Tip: Avoid ground floor rooms near the smoking area. Outside doors were wedged open early morning by the...

This is a clean and well maintained hotel, apart from the mattress which was lumpy and 'boingy'.
It is one of the more convenient out of town budget hotels with Finsbury Park Tube a 5 min walk away and access to central London about 15 - 20 mins down the line.
The room I had was spartan but reasonably sized and clean with fresh towels and decent bed linen. It also had a TV and Tea & Coffee making facilities. The bathroom was excellent, fresh bright and modern with great water pressure for the shower. Having said that the room I had was oppressively hot and had no way of controlling the temperature except to open the window. This was not an issue however as it looked out into a sort of mid-building shaft that had a patch of sky just visible way above. This sounds worse than it was as it meant that the room was quiet and the usual london traffic noises were kept at bay. There is an excellent Coffee Shop in the lobby which also doubled as the breakfast room. Breakfast itself was a continental 'Style' but without the pastries and youghurts...sliced bread, sliced ham, sliced cheese, toasters, jams, juice and the usual tea & coffee don't equal a proper continental breakfast...but hey it's a budget hotel so what can we expect?
Overall it is not a bad hotel but it is also not a particularly good one. For the price it's ok to stay a couple of nights in like I did, but probably no more than that.

Room Tip: The hotel has annex rooms in a building attached to the rear and is the same group as 'The Queen...
