Description: Ma La Sichuan brings you the best in authentic Sichuan cooking, with truly exotic flavours designed to stimulate and excite the senses. Award-winning chef Zhang Xiaozhong, former head chef of Barshu and The Shard's Hutong, has created an exquisite menu, offering a balance of delicate and irresistible dishes. Whilst some of our offerings are spicy, our diverse range of traditional banquet dishes to sumptuous street snacks has plenty of subtleties for those with a gentler palette, each artfully crafted to capture the sweet, sour, bitter and aromatic tastes that make Sichuan cuisine so unique.

“Definitely worth a try”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

If you like asian food, this is a good value place to go. Very friendly staff and a good selection of food (although I normally don't like "pan-asian" kitchen).

“Awesome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013

We came across this restaurant by happy accident and decided to have our meal as the menu looked interesting and affordable for London.
The decor is spic and span, the staff attentive and welcoming without being OTT.
The menu is varied and there is a very good lunchtime specials menu which is what we decided to have - Dim sum platter, seafood platter, thai platter. Everything was beautifully presented, freshly cooked ( you can see in the kitchens) and very very tasty.
A real gem of first class food at sensible prices

“Bravo! Traditional Pan Asian Food With a Twist!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

As an Asian, I am always over critical on Asian food. I came to this new restaurant for one of my friends' leaving do. I was pleasantly surprised

The decor is nice. The staff were very attentive.

The food were excellent! The dishes were all nicely presented. The Marble Beef was to die for. The Roast Pork Belly was the best I have ever had in chinese restaurant! WOW

To finish off the meal, I had Golden Sand Sweet Dumplings for my dessert! OMG! A must try.

I will definitely sneakily go back and try all lovely dishes again. hehehe

The final bill was reasonable.

“The new Kaku 37”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2013

I have been going to Bamboo Basket for a while therefore I was excited to try out the newly redone 'Kaku 37' Upon entering there were few noticeable changes, that is until i saw the menu. Full of new and exciting sounding "Pan Asian" dishes I couldn't decide. The waiters were polite and efficient, contrary to what others have said, and my food arrived looking and tasting absolutely delicious. I ordered the rock shrimp tempura and marbled beef and I could not recommend them more, although everything at the table looked, smelled and tasted mouthwatering! Almost as exciting as the new menu is the introduction of cocktails. I tried the lychee mojito which as quite sweet, but still kept me ordering more! They've even included virgin cocktails for those not wishing to drink! Couldn't recommend it more, definitely worth checking out.
