I have been meaning to visit Parparellu since reading about it in the Times of Malta nearly a year ago.With the promise of a sunny day I decided to travel from leafy Surrey to Fulham Palace Road to sample it. I ordered a ricotta pastizz (cheese cake),ftira bread with tomato paste, olive oil and tuna with olives and a Kinnie soft drink from the wide variety available; a typical Maltese snack. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality especially since most of the ingredients had travelled from Malta. The service was excellent and the owner, Joseph Pace, was as pleasant a host as one could hope for. Having lived in the UK for more than 30 years I am pleased that at last we have a restaurant that serves and sells Maltese food and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to sample a taste of Malta.
