“Phantom of the Opera - Outstanding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2014 via mobile

What a beautiful theatre! It is old and full of character and charm, which all adds to the atmosphere. It's also about 5 minute walk from Piccadilly. Circus underground so very easy to get to and there are loads of restaurants around here too for a pre theatre meal.
We saw Phantom of the Opera and were blown away by every aspect of it. The set is stunning and in parts almost like a work of art. The actors and actresses are phenomenal and some parts of the performance send shivers down your spine, particularly those that take place on the Phantoms lake. The acting is probably the best I have ever seen. The story itself is really captivating and is performed and directed so well that even if you are not familiar with the story before you see it, you will have not problems following it.
We sat in the balcony on row B and the views were very very slightly restricted but we only paid £33 a ticket (from encore tickets!) so definitely can't complain. Leg room was very minimal though so would recommend anyone who is fairly tall or people who like more space to look at the stalls instead and they have far more leg room and can often be found at fairly reasonable prices too. However, wherever you sit, Phantom of the Opera is not to be missed!

“First experience of the theatre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2014

My boyfriend and I went to the theatre for the first time this weekend to watch Phantom of the Opera and I thought it was amazing, I was so overwhelmed by the characters, they are all so talented, truly brilliant.

However the seats were very close together and you don't get much leg room at all....my boyfriend got quite annoyed and he sat next to a guy which hogged both arm rests so that was not ideal.

I would suggest buying your drinks before half time and they put them on a table for you, this saved us loads of time and enough time to enjoy a drink.

It was lovely experience all in all.

“Lovely theatre”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014

Went to see Phantom of the Opera fantastic performance and the staging was amazing. I would have scored the theatre excellent but there is not much leg room in some of the seats think I may pay extra next time and get better seats.

“Phantom of the Opera”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2014

Went to see Phantom of the Opera which was amazing. The theatre is in a perfect location having stayed on Leicester Square. The seating is quite cramped, you can only just squeeze past people sat down and if you have long legs I would say your knees would be against the seat in front, luckily I have short legs. The theatre is traditional. I sat in the stalls about 8 rows from the front with a perfect view.
