“Putting on the Ritz!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

Making use of a 'Bookatable.com' star deal: 3 course dinner with a glass of champagne for £45 per person, my wife and I stepped into the welcoming atmosphere of The Ritz to celebrate a special occasion. Serenaded by a string quartet, we could have stepped back in time to a period of opulent calm and effortless service. The newly furnished dining room is a delight of gilt and mirrors, and every diner feels special. We took our time perusing the menu with our included glass of champagne, and plumped for starters of langoustine consomme and var salmon, which were delicious. We chose a half bottle of Chablis (extra) to go with the main courses of loin of lamb with aubergine and artichoke, and duck breast with celeriac and black cherries, both of which were superb. We both chose the apricot soufflé with almond ice cream for our third course, and we have never tasted anything so mouth wateringly delightful. The meal should have been classed as 4 courses not 3, as we were then presented with a plate of beautiful petits fours. All in all, one of the best meals we have ever eaten.

“Impeccable service and fabulous food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013 via mobile

A fantastic fine dining experience. We went for lunch and everything was exceptional from start to finish. Fabulous food - I would have never put some of the flavours together but things like scallops with grapefruit complemented each other perfectly. A wonderful experience from start to finish. Fine dining at its best.

“Fabulous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

We came here for my husbands birthday as a surprise and it was amazing!
The pianist particulary made our evening as he played alot of the old greats and even via the water took a special request.

We were treated very well and the food was lovely too. We dined on a £89 for 2 people deal but were not treated as inferior in any way or form.

Wonderful experieince 100% recommend

“Dinner at the Ritz!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

We booked the seasonal offer of a 3 course a la carte Dinner and 2 glasses of wine for £55.
We went on a Sunday evening. It was an amazing experience!! We were treated like royalty.
There is a choice of 3 starters, mains and puddings. I had Salmon for starter and my daughter the scallops. The main was steak or lamb. (There was a vegetarian option) and my pudding was apple souffle and rum n raisin ice cream it was suberb and huge!!. We had little hours d'ouerves before the starter. Beautiful fresh bread and little sweets after the pudding. We were so full after the meal the waiter put the sweets in a Ritz box to take away. Everything was beautiful (even the rest room) There was a piano playing in the dining room. Just a little tip the waiters aren't allowed to take your photo in the dining room. Just ask another diner.

“Lunch at the Ritz London!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

We had lunch in the Ritz restaurant last week for my birthday. The service was impeccable and discreet. The Head Sommelier informed us of the wines that we chose by the glass, which was a great way of trying out lots of different varieties of wines from regions all over the world. The food was superb, along with the atmosphere which was elegant and chic in a most classical way. Although dress is smart, it did not feel stuffy in any way. We were definitely not rushed either, having arrived at 12.45 and teetered out at 4pm! i had a wonderful afternoon and felt thoroughly spoilt by the end of it!
