“smelly room....”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

Bad smell in room- might have been the carpet (or previous guest...). Bathroom has seen better days- replace the moldy sealer! Loud squat party outside sounded like they were in next room. Travelodge is what it is but this time wasn't great for £77. Felt a bit ripped off.

Very good night in a comfortable room without any noises.
A little expensive regardless than french hotels but for London it's a good price compared to others hotels.

Un trés bon choix pour un tarif raisonnable à Londres

I stayed in Travelodge at Bethnal Green for 4 nights because of its location. Hotel is just one stop by tube from Liverpool street and from there is even goods connection to O2 arena. Just take a tube to Stratford and change to Jubilee. Whole trip takes 15 minutes.
It is not a problem to take a tube to the central London. The Central line is going to Bethnal green.
I got the room for handicaped people so thebathroom was very big and there was even space enough in the room. It vas very clean and nice room. You can feel as disadvantage that there are no night cupboards by the bad adn no big sloset. Just a shell on the wall with a space where you can hang your clothes. 1 table and one chair.
There was a shampoo and handwash at the room in big packages. Hotel did not have hair drier at rooms but you could borrow it at the hotel reception.
There was no big noise even though the hotel is very close to the railway.
You can buy a breakfast at the hotel but I didn´t take any there. The price is lower if you buy the breakfast on the hotel page while doing the booking.
The night receptionist was very nice and helpful.
I can recommend this hotel if you should stay couple of days. IT is not expensive, the quaslity of room is better than in more expensive hotels situated in the middle of London. And it is slose to Liverpool street where the train from Stansted arrives.

Our room was quiet and comfortable. The shower could be bigger but have now stayed her three times over the last year and a half and would definitely go back again. Great base just off central line and easy access to all of London attractions.

Travelodge Bethnal Green is a clean, comfortable, unfussy place to rest your head in the East End of London. It's close to the Underground station, with quick links into town. There's a park (Bethnal Green!) across the road, and a Sainsbury local very close by. The railway runs close behind the hotel, and if you were in one of the rooms overlooking the railway, and needed to have the window open, it would be noisy. We were there in November, with windows closed, and it was fine. On our first night, we had noisy neighbours, and I mentioned it to the reception staff, who instantly offered a useful voucher recompense, even though I hadn't asked for this. Very good service. We didn't use the restaurant, which looks very basic - but that's what you expect with Traveodge.

Room Tip: It's a sort of u-shaped building. See if you can get a room on the inside of one of the U spurs...

This is my third stay with Travelodge in the UK - In London particularly.
Best value for money you can get.
Locations are nice, there is a large variety of hotel available.
The area here at Bethnal Green is safe and vivid.
Town and tube lines are close and easy to get to.
