“Favourite Chinese”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013 via mobile

Great from the get go. The decor is very traditional, makes you feel that your away from London. The service was attentive and the food was great with a good buzz in the restaurant.

“Excellent food at very reasonable prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2013

We had lunch mid-week with relatives who live in the area. It was very quiet with just a few tables occupied. The welcome and table were polite and efficient (we had a pram and young baby) and we were made to feel very welcome. We ordered a number of dishes and shared these in the middle. The Chinese food was very satisfying, nicely presented and certainly amongst the best I have had in recent years. (I am English, and even though we travel to Singapore quite a lot, couldn't say how really authentic it was, but certainly suited my European palate.) We had wine by the glass which was very acceptable. The bill was modest for the amount and quality of the food and total experience.) Wandsworth Common is adjacent; so nice for a stroll afterwards given reasonable weather. The only very minor negative might be the decor which was not very modern in appearance although clearly was very new and fit for purpose. The company website is also not very effective. In summary, I highly recommend this restaurant for quality and value for money.

I took my parents and partner out for dinner as they were in London for the weekend, and we all loved it!

Great food, great service.

We will be going back!

“Are you a member of the crispy duck club? This is the place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

It reminds me of the scene in The Blues Brothers when the go the Fried Chicken joint to persuade the bass player (who runs the joint) to come back and join the band - they're getting the band back together don't you know:)

This place first opened in central London in Kensington and I remember going in the 70s with my parents and low and behold, 35 years later they open around the corner!

Tonight it is crispy duck a dish designed for English tastes apparently (reference needed). To be a member of the crispy duck club there is only one rule - only cripsy duck and steamed vegetables allowed!

“Relaxing dinner for two”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

I had dinner here with my wife as our date night. We have been here before and the staff are excellent, friendly and polite. We had starters, mains and desert with,a bottle of Pinot Noir with our meal, total cost was £110. Not cheap but we left feeling we got good value.
We will be back.
