“Nice lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

Visited with a friend for lunch. My chicken dish was good and so was the service. It's a good reliable place where you get what you pay for! What I also like with this branch is that once you open the door you actually feel like you are in a brasserie in Paris!

“A good lunch.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

Five of us guys always meet up for a Christmas lunch in London.
Having enjoyed Cote in St Albans we booked here. We all chose different meals for all 3 courses and from all three of their menus. Whether it was fish or meat we were well pleased with our choices. The bill, including four bottles of good wine, was just over £200; excellent value for London.
Well done Cote; I wish you had a restaurant in Lymington.

“Value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2013

A family trip to London is always a financial challenge for us poor and forgotten northerners!! We are really feeling the pinch, so we always look out for the bargains. Having eaten at Cote in Covent Garden before, we thought we`d try and find one near the Haymarket. We had booked for a pre-theatre meal on Friday at 5pm.We got the same helpful and warm greeting and were quickly shown to our seating. An attractive little booth with soft seats. The selection from the set menu was varied. The terrine was great, the soup tasty and the calamari was ample. The house white wine is good quality and reasonably priced - so we had two bottles!!! The main course of Cod was super - just like the best fresh fish landed in Filey. The steaks were as tasty as ever. Simple food cooked well and presented with care, followed by crème caramel which is the best I have tasted. All this for around £100 for five of us including the service charge. This chain of restaurants have found the formula and I hope the can ensure the quality across all their outlets. We plan a trip to York over Xmas and hope that it is as good.

Once again a great ex sample of a cote. Good food, great service.

We had the duck and lamb. Both very good, neither of us would share!

“Not so special as other cotes in London”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013 via mobile

We usually love this chain but Wardlour st just wasn't the same. Service erratic, no genuine engagement or interest , food above average but still not as good as the others. It was very busy which may explain it but will return to Convent Garden
