This is the place to stay in London. The pictures promise a beautiful place and it is. Three places to eat across the street excellent fish and chips. We travelled with two teenagers. of There was plenty of room. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. We LOVED it.
You can walk to the London Eye and parliament in 15 mins. You can rent bicycles close bye.

“Another 5 star review for an ideal property and location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

There's not much to be said about this flat/apartment that hasn't already been said in earlier reviews. But it deserves one more to add to the collection.

The location is ideal for exploring London - a five minute walk to Borough tube station on the Northern line and a few minutes more (in the other direction) to Southwark on the Jubilee line. Borough market and London Bridge are about a 10 minute walk away. You can (and we did) walk to Westminster from here in around 30 minutes, including crossing the iconic Westminster Bridge. The London Eye, Golden Hind and Clink Street are all within easy reach.

In the immediate vicinity there are a number of small shops including cafes, greengrocers, corner shops (convenience stores) and a few small supermarkets including the Co-op, Sainsburys and Tesco. Everything you need for a self catering holiday.

Communications from Janet were ideal, the directions to the property were spot on and the information she left in the flat was very useful. The flat itself is a good size for 2 adults, might be a little be small for 4 if you were staying more than one or two nights, but it was perfect for what we wanted. The view at night time from the living room window of the shard and all the other glass towers that have been flung up in London was quite impressive

Overall, we were very pleased with this rental and would definitely stay here again.

“Good Location, nice neighborhood!”

Very clean and well appointed flat. Roomy and comfortable space with a good view out the dining area window. Fairly close to Southwark underground station so very easy to get around.
Be sure to get to Borough Market if you want to make a few meals in the kitchen. Also the Co-op around the corner was great for grocery items and it also has a Post Office if you need post card stamps! Great fish and chips right across the street. If you need a burger try Lord Nelson or Byron Proper Hamburgers , both are an easy walk. The flat is walking distance to the Tate Modern and the Globe, also to the Old Vic in a different direction. Note: It is up a couple flights of stairs but they are doable. The shower is very nice but small and you have to step up to get in to it. We would stay here again!

“Would recommend!”

The directions to the apartment are excellent and it is close to 2 metro stops. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe. There are several great little British restaurants near by. The restaurant is above Terry's Cafe which had super friendly people working there had great food and don't worry it closes early. It's a breakfast and lunch place. A good store for groceries is right around the corner. If your looking to save a few dollars they put a to. Of the freshly made foods on sale later in the evening and they are good for a few days still. The apartment itself is spacious and very clean. The kitchen is well equipped with items to cook and clean with. The apartment is really very beautiful. A lot of care went into decorating it. Love the light fixtures and bedroom wall paper. The bed was comfy and soft. The pillows were fluffy. There was plenty of hot water for showers. There were only 2 of us there but easily 4 could share this place with the sofa bed there. An early arrival was accommodated for us. We got in at 9:30. But that does depend on when the previous renters leave. I found Janet to not be the clearest to communicate with. Sometimes questions got odd answers or overlooked and not answered almost like there was a language barrier. She was however prompt to answer messages. There was also no warmth to her emails which did not make us feel very welcome or confident In our rental before we arrived. She was very business like in her replies. Which was not great for me but I'm sure others would not mind. Overall this was a great place to stay. There were movies on every night to watch and it is about a 20-30 min walk to Tate Modern and also to the London Eye. Very enjoyable in London!

“Clean and convenient”

We booked the apartment as it was cheaper than two hotel rooms and close to where our relatives lived. Apart from enabling us to get to know a previously undiscovered area of London, we found this a much preferable alternative to staying in a hotel. As the flat was so close to various convenience stores and take-away delis, we were able to eat and entertain there and not stress about finding somewhere to eat. It is just 10 minutes walk from Borough Market- in fact is within walking distance of most attractions. For those not so energetically inclined, the bus stops and tube stations are round the corner. The flat is clean and comfortable and centrally heated, the card with the Wi-Fi code is near the router. Directions to the flat were easy to follow.....no complaints at all!

Perfect location, the flat has everything you can ask for. Super clean and beautifully furnished. Janet has left nothing to the imagination and supplied absolutely everything one would need. There were 3 adults and a young boy, sofa bed came in handy! Oyster cards courtesy of Janet were a lovely touch. Beds were super comfy. Towels and linen in abundance/ This was our last stop before flying back to Australia and we loved the fact we could sightsee, relax with wine and watch the Shard light up. As it is in Zone 1, it keeps your travel costs down. Definitely a 10/10. Thanks Janet! Myriam, Ray, Julie and Nathan
