It's tough sometimes to find a hotel in London at a reasonable budget at short notice. So this is why I ended up here paying £225 for a night, £100 above rack rate it seems. For a single bed, a room overlooking the noisy Gower Street (which did get quieter thankfully). In the loo I had more leg room on easyJet. They provide no shower wash; the indignity of going out to busy some, what sort of hotel that that announce to the world. I had to wait 45 mins for an iron to be brought to my room; not the end of the world, but I was desperate to go out and eat. Not unusually, the iron itself was filthy (how does this happen) and looked like someone had been trying to iron treacle! Oh well. another hotel towel bites the dust in the traditional iron cleaning ceremony. Oh, and if you are a working type, don't expect to get breakfast before 7.30. Having said all that the decor in the room is find, the shower is good and the TV works. So it wasn't terrible.
Given how difficult it is without £300 in your pocket to find a reasonable room in London, you may end up here.... take some bodywash, some earplugs, and except to eat out for breakfast!
