“A quaint bed & breakfast in a lovely location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

My wife and I decided a trip to London was overdue, so we booked a 2 night stay at a b&b in Belsize park, through a groupon promotion. The house was lovely and in an area steeped with character. The service did not pretend to be something it wasnt and was perfectly comfortable and convienient. The landlady was happy to converse with us over breakfast and we enjoyed her company. If i had to be critical i would say that the room was a little dusty. Overall it was pergect for our requirements.

On arrival,my face lit up at the cyclamen filled window box at my bedroom window. The same was to be enjoyed over breakfast in the kitchen. Lehka the mum/proprietor fussed round us to ensure that every bite was prepared just as we liked it, AND remembered for the next morning. Our beds & bedding were deliciously comfortable, and the shower was so much better than many I have 'enjoyed' elsewhere. Location & value exceptional. We were well pleased.

We stayed at Primrose Guest House between 30th October-1st November. We arrived at about 4pm, and were shown to our room, which was clean, tidy and welcoming, and had everything we required. Breakfast was also a pleasant experience, offering both continental and cooked breakfast. Our host was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. On our second day, we had a problem with the shower, which was repaired immediately with no fuss. A lovely stay and would go back in future.

My husband and I booked this hotel via Groupon with our friends. The room was very small and needed upda ting. We were promised champagne and chocolates on arrival which amounted to a cheap bar of chocolate and a very cheap bottle of wine. The room wasn't cleaned while we were there and the tea and coffee making facilities were not replenished. The breakfast was adequate but the breakfast room was very small and uncomfortable. The owner needs to concentrate more on making her guests comfortable.

Hello
due to a delivery error we got the next best thing from a supermarket which was wine, we do supply toiletries for full paying customers but had you asked we would have happily provided you with toiletries. Nothing was said to me so i presumed everything was ok. This was a special groupon offer at a low price and for the price we still included a cooked breakfast.

The brochure promises Champagne and chocolates on arrival, what we got was a very cheap bottle of wine and a bar of chocolate from Lidls. We were also promised complimentary toiletries,we got 2 very small bars of soap, the bathroom sink was so small you couldnt wash in it.
After being out all day,we got back to find that our room hadnt been cleaned,I contacted the son,who told me that our room was cleaned before arrival and because we were only staying two days they didnt do it again. However the bed was comfy and the breakfast was OK.,but wouldnt go back or recommend it to anyone else..

Sorry you were disappointed, but nothing was mentioned to me at breakfast so i was unaware, we were having a few teething problems, the groupon deal proved to be somewhat of a challenge, but the chocolates and alcohol was still provided and we did our best to satisfy the customers at the time and get through it.

My friend and I booked this guesthouse via the Groupon voucher. It is in a great location for central London with the tube station not even a 5 minute walk away and Camden about 10 minutes away which is well worth a visit. The guesthouse could benefit with some updating but we couldn't fault the hospitality of our host. She was very welcoming and always ensured that we had everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely with a choice of cereals, toast and a fried breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable but like I have mentioned, could do with some updating. All in all a good experience and I am sure we will be back again, thank you.

I found the room perfect for me and my partner's one year anniversary - light, bright, comfortable bed, picturesque fireplace, and a great shower.
But the highlight was the wonderful hospitality of our host who could not have made us feel more welcome. Lovingly cooked fry ups while she talked to us about what to see in London; she was an absolute diamond and made the trip worthwhile.
Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, or recommend it to others.
(The champagne and chocolate on arrival were a very nice touch too!)
