“A good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2013

We stayed at the Radnor for six nights and enjoyed the convenient location. It was very close to the Paddington tube station, Hyde Park and lots of places to eat. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful though the building itself was a little dated. Our room was fairly small, but clean and comfortable plus there was free wifi. The breakfast was nothing spectacular but it was fine. It was good value for a budget hotel.

Good value for the money for London. Nino, the Mgr., very nice and took good care of us. Charming Italian man to help check out. Rooms small but basically clean. Woodwork could use a good wash and a more effective vacuum would help.
Great location for all transportation or for walking to inner London. Near good eats as well. Decent breakfast. Free Wi-Fi. Have stayed there before and will again. Many friends have followed our recommendations and stayed there. All happy with value, location, rooms.

Trip to London to celebrate Mum's 70th Birthday. Stayed for three nights in a triple room which was small but perfectly comfortable. Bathroom and bedlinen extremely clean (cotton, no 'bobbly' polyester mix thank goodness)
Hotel / area is a haven to return to after busy days and nights and all three of us (females) felt perfectly safe wandering in the area whatever time of day / night.
Easy to reach from Paddington station as long as you follow the drections offered by the Radnor, 3-4 mins walk.
Some good local food and watering holes close by if you do not want to venture back into the city. Can highly recommend The Victoria (left at the front of the Hotel) pub for excellent food.
Man on reception extremely helpful when we arrived and the ladies at breakfast could not be more pleasant. Reception also helped book tourist attractions which saved money.
Great price for a City Hotel, safe and clean including a basic but tasty breakfast.
Sitting room in reception and the breakfast room is clean and the Radnor has the added bonus of a lift to all floors which is unusual for such a small hotel.
Will stay again and will recommend to friends and family.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 4th floor bit on the small side and have small windows (still very clean and comfortabl...

NiceB&B near Hyde Park and Paddington Station. Very good service, great breakfast and very affordable prices. Rooms are comfortable but a bit small. Bathrooms are tiny and showers funny, it takes a while to get hot water. Free wi-fi.

We have just returned from our holiday, celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Our London base was Hyde Park Radnor & it was perfect. Highly recommend the quality of the service, from the welcome at the front desk, to the cheerfulness of the breakfast staff. (breakfast included in the tariff). Nothing was a bother for the ladies any morning. The accommodation was just what we were looking for to start our holiday and the location could not have been better, as was the value for money. Even the weather was kind! We would definately return there on our next stay in London and hope to soon. - Lesley & Alan, Melbourne Australia.

Room Tip: Good Luck!

I just returned from London and spent 6 nights at the Hyde Park Radnor. I chose this hotel based on the reviews here and was not disappointed. The location is a 3 minute walk from Paddington station making it easy to/from the airport and all other locations. The room was small but clean. There was road noise on the street side, which might bother some. Our room also got the afternoon sun and would be quite warm in the late afternoon. An open window and cool nights made it fine the rest of the time. As there is no a/c I would hesitate to stay here in the warmer months. My only complaint is minor, the hair dryer supplied was useless. I made do without but I would bring my own if I stayed there again - and I would stay there again. The staff was very helpful with all our questions and the kitchen staff were friendly and prompt. Breakfast is daily from 7-9am. The full English breakfast is pretty basic, I stuck to just eggs which were excellent and toast which was not. The coffee machine is great. I loved the latte but there were a lot of choices including espresso and chocolate. There are several good restaurants close by. Our favorite was The Victoria pub just a block down the street. Great pub atmosphere and surprisingly good food. We ended up there 3 nights out of 6.

Room Tip: If you can get a room away from the street it may be quieter and cooler.

In my last visit I stayed in the small hotel Hyde Park Radnor. I found it by searching the internet and notice it was well recommended and good value per cost. The reservation was done via e-mail confirmation, on arrival the check-in was quick and as we arrived early we could leave our luggage and hit the streets of London to return later to our room. The room itself was small and comfortable.
Some small issues to mention was the old fashion English water pluming in the bathroom / shower, toilet flushing being a bit stuck or the TV remote control hardly working didn't bothered me much but for a longer stay I would have ask to change the room.
English breakfast was standard, just ok and nothing spectacular, however, the free Wi-Fi was working well.

Room Tip: Front side will have noise from the street cars that drive all night, if you are a light sleeper, me...
