“good shower and towels!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

Stayed a weekend at CitizenM last weekend. I knew the hotel from hearsay, but it was above expectations. Good rooms (small, but the big bed makes up for that), a nice shower, really thick towels, good bed, nice lounge with a good atmosphere, invites you to read the paper or drink a cup of coffee. The people are friendly and helpful. I will return.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights i April 2013. On arriving at the hotel we were a little surprised (pleasantly) at the the size and layout of the entry level with lounge, dining areas, bar and computer areas. For the rate we paid we were expecting less. Our room was also a bit of a surprise as it was smaller than expected (our issue not theirs). Having said this it worked well. The king size bed takes up one end of the room wall to wall with a large storage draw under for one travel case. The desk and chair in the room are also small but adequate. The ensuite is of translucent frosted glass and whilst compact works well. It should be noted that this was definitely the smallest room we stayed in on our 6 week holiday but we rate this hotel as possibly on e of the best value given its location and how well the room actually works. The food downstairs was a little limited but again good value. We'd defintely recommend this hotel to our friends and family

we found this hotel by accident, but what a strock of luck. This is a breath of fresh air, diffrent from the standard run of the mill dull rooms you ussully get in london. great value for money, cost v quality is spot on. when next in town we wont look any further. thank you for a great stay.

We enjoyed this hotel. Very cool aesthetic and reasonibly priced for a wonderful Central London location just a short walk from the river, London Bridge, Tate Modern, Southwark Tube Stop and Borough Market. The rooms are very small, so if that's an issue be aware, but we would definitely stay there again.

The experience and overall hospitality experience was fantastic. If you like modern design, fresh concept and comfort this is the place to go. Food is very tasty and staff - "the ambassadors" - are always joyful, helpful and easy-to-reach and receptive. The lounge and bar areas are fantastic and invite you to socialize ; lots of books about photography, design... great after a long work day or a long walking day visiting London. Also very central, easy access to central London and all points of interest. If you like technology is everywhere this is for you : you are able to manage the entire room (curtains, blinds, lights, moods, TV, internet) from one easy-to-use device (a tablet). I definitely recommend this place. It is more than just a hotel.

I booked a room at CitizenM as a present for my husbands 30th. We went to see singing in the rain at the palace theatre. The service was fantastic - staff extremely friendly, welcoming and accomodated our needs well. The rooms were a novel experience as you could control your environment with the provided ipad. The room was small but suited our needs fine and most importantly the bed was huge!!! It was a perfect location with only a few steps from the Tate Modern, St Paul's cathedral a 5 minute walk away and we strolled to Soho to the theatre in 45 minutes (We went the long way at a leisurely pace). Lovely walk across the bridge. CitizenM was located off a main road with a lovely italian restaurant opposite. The decor of the hotel was amazing - very eye catching! Lots of Art around, coffee table books, computers and many seating areas where you can enjoy a coffee of some great food. We had lunch there it was all very tasty and healthy. The breakfast was great to. My husband had a lovely fry up and I had some homemade cereal and big croissants! We would definitely stay again!!!

Room Tip: we were situatewd 4th floor facing the main road and noise was not a problem.

The perfect hotel for a city vacation. Why? Cool decor, great service, great lobby with a happening bar scene, clean, great huge bed and a cool vibe to the hotel. Located in a nice not so busy area of London - loved it!
