“Everything was perfect.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012

The CitizenM hotel staff were wonderfully accommodating, and our room was small but gorgeous with a king size bed (practically unheard of) and a digital tablet to adjust the temp, tv, and mood lighting! The place was brand new and everyone seemed glad to be working there. They served a real British breakfast every morning with eggs, potatoe, tomatoe, bacon and sausage, and croissants, danish, toast, juice and cappuccino. The place is totally modern, covered with classic and contemporary books and nick nacks, and hip technology featuring a continuous video built in to the mirror of the elevator wall, and huge digital photos of some famous British rock-stars in the foyer. The staff, especially Adnan and Susana, were exceptional in going out of their way to ensure a perfect experience.
Mahalo from Hawaii.

The check-in and check-out are very easy, if you need help the ambasadors are at hand. Rooms aren't too small for two people, bed is huge and very comfy, there's a large drawer under the bed to put two middle sized suitcases in and there's also a small "wardrobe" to hang your clothes. As the hotel is probably ment for a short stay there aren't a lot of shelves, but there's enough space for toiletries. There's also a small fridge (very convenient) and a strong hairdryer (very useful). Our room was on the third floor facing the courtyard and it was very quiet, actually we didn't hear any other guests nor the lift or any noise coming from the outside. The i-pad was working without problems, it's easy to use so if you can use a computer you can use the pad for sure. The bathroom area is big enough offering two nicely fragrant shower gels, big towels and a refreshing rain shower. The only thing that I wish would to be different is the sink, which I would prefer to be placed in the bathroom instead of in the room. Though I must say once you get used to it it's not a big problem any more.
The hotel's location is very convenient for evening strolls along the river and it is easily accessible from the Southwark or London Bridge tube stations. Tate Modern, The Globe Theatre, St.Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge, The Tower and The London Dungeons are all just a short walk away.
All in all it was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely like to be" a citizen" again one day.

Room Tip: Rooms facing courtyard are very quiet.

Very much enjoyed this ultra modern hotel just opened; great wifi connectivity, services including free movies and amazing electronic control of temperature, entertainment, lighting. A fun trendy and modern hotel in a place that is easy to get to almost anywhere in the city. It's about 8 minutes from two tube stations (London Bridge and Southwark) and very close to the Tate Modern Art Gallery and the South Bank. I would definitely stay there again.

New and so funny!
After a problematic start due to the new key system, we really enjoyed our stay. The key problem solved we also enjoyed a glass of wine gently served as a reward for our patience. Modernity at its best, ok rooms aren't that big. If you travel with 2 suitcases it may be hard to find a place for them but for the rest everything is done to feel you connected. A pad in each room gives you control on lights -different colours and ambiences-, curtains, tv, films, ... The bed is large and comfortable. We also really enjoyed the breakfast served, large variety.
The bar, the lounge are really great, simple design and fashionable, really chosen with taste.
Last but not least, the staff was welcoming and tried to help every time it was necessary, thank you Eylem for your friendly welcome ;-)
The hotel is ideally situated in the city for the lovers of Tate Modern, only a few minutes on foot ;-)

Booked into the CitizenM London on our Wimbledon trip - hotel only open for 2 weeks and we found it clean, bright with attentive staff. Very good location for our trip, hand access to underground, and we had a good time at the borough market on Saturday. Bed was most comforatable, and we enjoyed using the tablet to set our mood lighting!!! Room very quiet although hotel busy, great soundproofing, and air conditioning easy to work, not too noisy!! Breakfast was very enjoyable, though not too sure about value for money - though we had our free gratis due to a mix up on check in and difficulty in getting our credit card put through. We would most definately return!!

We have just stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The bedrooms were well equipped with a very comfortable bed, the lighting was excellent, air conditioning worked and was quiet. Our son had a room near the lift and was disturbed by the announcements during the night but his room was changed the next day and staff said that this problem would be dealt with for future guests. We found the hotel very quiet at night and soundproofing much better than most hotels we've stayed in. It could be a bit difficult to operate the TV and air conditioning if you weren't familiar with a touch pad and we did find it switched on unexpectedly from time to time, but we are not of the generation which finds electronic controls second nature. Mostly we used the switches available for lights and blinds, however the staff were so helpful that we feel certain they would have been happy to show us how to use the touch pad controls. The free WiFi worked and was much appreciated. Although a snack bar was open all night we would have found it helpful to have had the usual tea-making facilities in the room but wouldn't let this put us off staying in this hotel again, in fact we look forward to our next visit.

Room Tip: Avoid a room near the lift.

My daughter and I stayed for one night on a theatre trip. The hotel was amazing. What a difference from some of the stuffy 4 star hotels that promise the best and deliver so little.
Check in was a fast and efficient "do it yourself" experience - with staff on hand to help if needed.

Technology in rooms is fab - had great fun changing colour schemes using Samsung tablet. Free wifi and in-room movies an added bonus.

Hotel was so good that after the theatre instead of "hitting the town" - we came back to the hotel to drink in the trendy bar - cocktails excellent and reasonably priced.
