Great restaurant and food and great attention to detail in regards to service, staff was friendly and look like they enjoy what they are doing. Steaks are so tender just amazing.

“Pub food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2013

Having read some of the other reviews I must say that I thought that the service was very good. It was attentive but inobstrusive, friendly but not over-familiar. We had an excellent table at the front of this very impressive and chic/modern dining room.

We dined courtesy of an Amazon voucher (a birthday present) and were made to feel every bit as welcome as if we were "full paying" - which is something that you cannot often say about establishments offering a Groupon etc. So why is it that a Marco Pierre White venue feels compelled to fill its tables with discounted voucher diners?

The answer (whether it be cause or effect) is that the food was simply very average. I do take in to account the fact that we were dining on a reduced menu and I have a rough idea of the price of that menu (since it was in fact printed on bill even though the voucher was a present) so I would not expect Michellin Star quality food. I would, however, expect food cooked to a higher standard than my local pub.

Deep fried calamari and courgette - not bad, but average
Ceasar salad - not bad, but M&S do quite a nice one
Spaghetti with crab and chilli - pasta certainly al dente - could have done with another 30 seconds
Rib-eye steak - good, but not amazing (although the triple-cooked chips were fantastic)
Sticky Toffee Pudding - good but overpowered by the cream (ice-cream would be better)

All in all, a perfectly pleasant dining experience, but I simply cannot rave about the food.

“Faultless”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

Had a meal early on a Friday evening.

The food was excellent, service professional and friendly.

Overall good value for money, seeing as we took advantage of a special offer of a free champagne cocktail and 50% off our mains.

Would return at full price.

“Very impressed with food, service and atmophere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

As we expected the food was wonderful and we found the service great with a very friendly professional team of people. Great atmosphere in a nearly full restaurant on a Friday evening with a mix of diners.
