“Visit to London.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

The employees were very welcoming towards me and my girlfriend and were always willing to help us with directions and suggestions of places to see in London.

We ate at the Holiday Inn's restaurant on more than one occasion and we found both the food and service to be great. We also paid a few visits to the hotel bar and enjoyed our drinks on the terrace which has a spectacular view of the London skyline (including the Olympic park.)

The hotel is just a short walk away from the Underground and made our visit to landmarks around the city very easy, and is sat right on top of the enormous Westfield shopping centre.
We will definitely stay at the Holiday Inn next time we come back.

This hotel was clean, welcoming and comfortable.

I read an 'average' review based on the service, but whatever teething problems there may have been, they are entirely sorted now, the staff were swift, polite and very well informed.

The restaurant service was efficient and courteous, and the food was better than you would expect from the vast majority of hotels.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Anything overlooking the Olympic Park is a good bet.

Booked through Hotwire so didn't know where we would be. Couldn't have been better! The hotel is brand new. Our room was superb with a very comfy bed.

Hotel is really built into the Westfield Shopping Centre which is good. Plenty to do here which probably isn't good for a few days away in London as it would be easy to waste time here.

Travelling around was easy. One thing I would say here is try to use the Jubilee line rather than the Central. The Central trains are very hot and sticky. Jubilee ones were more pleasant.

Will probably go again next year to London and would have no hesitation in booking the Holiday Inn.

We had a wonderful 1 night stay here a few weeks ago (apart from the weather!). Rooms spotless and very modern. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Food and service excellent. We'll be back if you'll have us!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a good view of the Olympic Stadium.

This hotel shares the building with the Staybridge Suites. Don't get confused when booking through the HI web site. They both have the same phtograph, directions etc. but they are different hotels. They both share the same lobby entrance but it's lifts on the right for Staybridge and lifts on the left for Holiday Inn.

As you would expect being located in the Westfield Stratford and overlooking the OLympic stadium, this is a modern, fresh hotel. All of the decorations are Olympic themed, as you would again expect from a main Olympic 2012 sponsor.

Rooms are well appointed, very well equipped and comfy. The reception, bar and restaurant are on the thrird floor. This was a bit annoying as whenever I took a lift it always went straight to the thrid floor. Staff were friendly and pleasant,

Breakfast was more than adequate, the usual suspects: fried stuff, fruit and cold cuts. But, a quick word with a member of staff soon had two poached eggs rustled up for me.

The location is premium, next door to the Olympic Stadium, part of a shopping and entertainments complex meant no shortage of places to eat, shops to browse or things to do. Rail travel is on the doorstep too with direct links straight back into central London, one stop on overground to Liverpool street, and Central and Jubilee underground lines. This is the perfect spot for travelling families and I suspect that next year once the clamour of the Olympics has died down it will still be a very popular hotel for these very reasons.

Yes I'd go back and yes I'd take the family next time. If you are looking for a London hotel to base yourself out of, this should be at the top of your list.

Had 1 night stay just before Hotel opened for real. Was very well greeted by all staff, very friendly and helpfull. Bang in the middle of Westfields and Olympic Park, Wife loved the ease of shopping!! Rooms very well furnished and equipped. Colours very tranquil and relaxing. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent, prices were good considering the area and the number of resaurants that are nearby. Overall a fantastic experience and well worth the visit.

Room Tip: No bad rooms!!

I had a single night's stay close to the opening of the hotel, so I expected there to be a few teething problems, but it couldn't have gone better! The rooms were fantastic much better then a typical Holiday Inn room, equipped with everything you could ask for to feel right at home. The hotel could not be better located in the currently throbbing Stratford area, right within the heart of east London's two new biggest attractions (Stratford Westfield and Olympic Park). Even with all the eateries available on your doorstep, I chose to dine in the hotel restaurant for dinner...which did not fail to impress (nor does its views). Absolutely unmissable hotel stay, and I'm looking forward to returning in the near future!
