Reading other people's positive reviews about this hotel staff I wonder if it is under different management now. The large multi generational family running it had no clue how to relate to guests, nor did they have more than a rudimentary command of English. They were loud, slamming doors, shouting constantly at each other, and their small child was running up and down the hall and yelling outside our door at 6am.
When we arrived, they decided it just might be time to see about cleaning the room for us to use. With only one other guest staying there, this might have been accomplished before 5pm. With a dreadful case of jet lag we waited around until they were finished cleaning and then laid down to catch a nap, when one of the proprieters used her key to just walk into our room without knocking and started shrieking at us for being in the wrong room. We didn't choose our room, they put us there.
We were so relieved to get out of there the next morning. We didn't even consider going down to their "breakfast" of an apple and a cup of tea. When we attempted to pay our bill, they didn't have any type of organizational structure to process a credit card and had no idea what a receipt was for or what it should look like. The only positive I can say for this place is that it makes for a good travel horror story.
