I needed somewhere inexpensive to stay and to leave my car for a couple of days while on a short trip to France. This hotel fits the bill. It is very convenient for the airport and the daily fee for parking was the cheapest around (£10/night, free the night you are resident), the car park is pretty secure and has gates. The hotel is tucked away behind the service station so not easy to spot.
You can tell the hotel used to be Etap, it has that Spartan quality, but clean and has everything you need, unless you want a kettle. The room is basic but well designed, a decent size, double bed and ensuite. It seemed very clean and I wasn't aware of any road or aircraft noise.
The reception staff were reasonably helpful. Breakfast is about £5 and frankly not the best, cereals, pastries, toast (the toaster takes so long the thin bread is dessicated!) but if you just want a quick snack it's not so bad.
Although the airport is very close, a taxi is about £8-10 (I shared with another guest) NB the airport has free wifi and a cafe.
In all, a well positioned budget billet and good value for money.
I doubt there is much difference in the rooms. There is a lift.
