We stayed at Victorian London for 4 nights in November -03. The place is quite peculiar: No locks on the doors to the rooms (the owner said that they only had "good people" staying at their "hotel", but it made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Nothing happened, though). You feel like you're staying in someones's home, not at a hotel. The decoration in the house is very victorian. The rooms are filled with curtains, velvet and all kinds of brick-a-brack. And the webpage says "shower in room", and that's what it is, litterally. A shower in the room. The toilet is shared and is in the hall. Victorian London is also a bit too far away from the centre, you'll have to take a bus or walk 15 minutes to get to the tube. We also had to pay extra because we came rather late - we managed to negotiate the price down a bit, though. And the "house-rule" said that if you stained the bedsheet or the towels you would have to replace them - what kind of hotel does that? The owner was also quite nervous about wet clothes or umbrellas - he came knocking on the door, urging us to give our coats and shoes so he could dry them downstairs. The breakfast was good, though. But I think I'll stay another place the next time.
