I stayed here with my family for 1 night in the double double bed room. It wasnt a massive room but was very modern and clean. The beds were very very comfortable. It had all you would like in a hotel room with complimentary water, tea making facility, good sized flat screen tv etc. Its really well located next to blackfriars tube station and made it very easy for us to visit the london eye, science museum etc. As a cardholder we had access to exec club lounge which was quite small but had great selection of drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic). The snacks were a bit limited though. We went down for the buffet breakfast in the morning and it comprised of everything you would want from full english to continental. We would certainly return and recommend.

Efficient and smiling check in. Bedroom was clean and modern and what you would expect. It was also quiet.

While I didn't eat in the hotel, I did use the bar area for a business meeting and the service was timely and attentive.

Ideally placed to visit the main attractions without being right in the hustle and bustle. Also a short walk from St Pauls cathedral and Blackfriars bridge and tube station.

The hotel is a good 4 star with comfortable, well appointed rooms and good bathroom facilities (including excellent toiletries and gismos). Well stocked (but expensive of course) mini bar and a good room service menu.

Although we did not eat here we did sample the bar area which was buzzing on the Friday night (more like a club with amazing 'dungeon' booths), but closed for a private party on the Saturday night (how bizarre!!!)

Overall a great stay, the staff were very pleasant and helpfull and we couldn't have asked for more (the birthday card and cake in my room were an unexpected bonus!)

Room Tip: High floors are always good for the views and the lifts were always available

Stayed here on a Sunday night and it was fairly quiet. I didn't even have to use my earplugs, which is very unusual for London.
Fast and efficient check in, and I was upgraded to a club room on the 6th floor. Room very spacious and comfortable, although there were no electrical sockets near the desk so I couldn't plug my laptop in.
Breakfast was included in the club lounge, and I had a decent continental breakfast.
All in all, an excellent stay, and located right in the centre of London just opposite Blackriars Tube Station.

I regularly stay at this hotel. Staff are always very courteous, welcoming and helpful.
The rooms are very comfortable, especially those on the 6th and 7th floor.
Location is good, with a short 15 minute walk into the City, and the underground right opposite the hotel.
This is not the cheapest hotel around, but it is not the most expensive either.

Room Tip: I wouldn't stay in this hotel if I was looking to explore London as a tourist. Great for working...

Stayed here for a business trip. Staff very helpful, bed was amongst the comfiest I've ever slept in. Room was like a little home from home. Very comfortable. The only point I would make is that it's not ideal to have 1 plug socket in guest rooms when most of the visitors are on business. Had to keep switching between the mobile phone and ipad to charge up my devices.

One other down side is that the bar shuts at 10pm on a Sunday. After arriving with two business associates who I'd not seen for a while it would have been nice to be able to catch up over a drink in the hotel. Upside - there's a lovely pub across the road.

Room Tip: Ask if they have any rooms with more than 1 electric socket.

Dear Dawn F,
I am happy to learn you had an enjoyable stay with us at Crowne Plaza London - The City.
Our rooms offer a wide range of sockets built in in the desks, so likely this went unnoticed during your visit.
Hope to have the opportunity to welcoming you back in the near future.
