“perfect for the price!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

During the summer holiday this student accommodation offers a hotel like place to stay. It's obviously not to be compared with an expensive hotel but you get a bed, desk, storage space and a bassin in the room. On top of that there is a fan, alarm clock, and tea/coffee facilities plus a chair in each room. The non-enclosed rooms have shared toilet and shower, these are near the room and you share 2 toilet + 2 showers for about 8-10 rooms I think. I never had to wait for a shower or toilet during a full week and showers in the morning and evening. There is an elevator and you can store you bags in the hotel before check-in / after check-out. In the lobby there are a few internet terminals and there is wifi for 5 pound (for the whole period of your stay) and fixed cable connection in the rooms. The wifi reception is very good (and I noticed professional cisco antennas throughout the building + a good integrated management system at the reception so it is managed very well). The building serves as student accomodation during the year so you can only stay here during the summer vacartion. On the positive side this means that everything is managed very well, they know what they are doing. You see mostly students working there, the security (with patrols and electronic access cards plus secured room keys) is quite impressive but does not feel like a hassle). Breakfast is served in a separate building, about 3 minutes walking and is in a very big cafeteria style, don't expect too much but it was not too bad. The price was very good (I paid about 200 pound for 6 nights / the advertised prices are 68/nigh for the cheapest room). The location is plain perfect according to me, 10 min walk to the tube station, a few bus stops withing 30 sec - a few min walking and next to the Albert hall, V&A, science museum; Nature history museum and hyde parc. I liked the location a lot.

Room Tip: The rooms at the street side are a little more quite (there is a union bar at the other side)

I stayed here for 3 nights in single room in August. Cosy room, nice bed, may be short to some taller people. Basic interior, enough for those who seek for spending night in descent place for affordable price. Breakfast is above expectations. Close to museums, though almost 1 km to tube station South Kensington. Quiet garden during the night while vibrant during the day. No TV, but You do not need THAT in London ;)

Quite obviously dorms that are used out of term but did the job. I didn't pay, so not sure on cost, rooms were clean, but disappointed that kitchen facilities were out of action. Useful to have washing machine and dryer though.

Stayed at the Prince's Gardens for 2 nights. Location wise is good as easy access to the South Kensington underground trains where you can take the Piccadily line that takes you straight to the Heathrow airport terminals. National Science Museum, V&A art museum and National Historical museum is just round the corner, Harrods and Knightsbridge shopping malls is abt 10mins walk away. The hotel is much more like a hostel but clean and comfortable. However, the breakfast place is situated a distance away which is not that convenient. Pricing wise, I think it can be lower.

Basically more like a hostel than hotel. Students work part time to provide concierge service, some of them are lack of proper training and reluctant to provide any information or in a bad manner. Did consider to make a complaint but then God forgive these students... Breakfast is in a busy canteen accessed by a 5 minute walk. IC really should level up Beit Hall by outsourcing the accommodation part to some hotel brand, eg Holiday Inn or Hilton to balance the price and customer service. So far, the best thing is it is cheap. However it is not that close to South Kensington station. Will not use again, but they probably do not care ppl's view anyway...

One of our main aims in London was to visit the V&A, and the Imperial College Accommodation is right behind it. Our room was comfortable and quiet, and there is a small park right outside that is well shaded by trees and perfect for enjoying a picnic lunch. The WiFi rate was reasonable (5 pounds for your entire stay) and the WiFi worked very well. You have access to a kitchen, the gym, a convenience store and a restaurant on campus, and they have an area to store your luggage if you arrive before the check in time. Breakfast was not a gourmet affair, but was perfectly fine and very substantial. I would stay there again, and highly recommend it.

Price wise you will never get a better experience. The Hotel is modern, clean, safe. They have a 24/7 concierge, the room are not so embellished or furnished as this is , normally, a college but they have the right space and the bathroom is....a bathroom ...not the tiniest horrible hole you usually find in other infamous London Hotel. I paid $75 a night . So i was not looking for glamour or deluxe but I found myself home, the staff is super kind, The Gym is clean and well equipped and they also have a nice swimming pool. Only thing I need to say the breakfast is full but it never change and there are always too many people getting it in the morning. They should organize it better.

Room Tip: the single room is more than enough for a person so don't be scared about size
