“Clean rooms, polite, helpful staff, what more could you want?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2011

My husband and I have just returned from 2 nights at the Premier Inn Beckton and I feel I have to commmend all the staff for the FAB running of this hotel, I can't think of anything to complain about, the rooms were very clean, beds and pillows comfy, great TV reception, loads of hot water and good shower pressure with free imperial leather shower gel. Breakfast was the best. All you can eat for £7.99, the choice and quality of the food was fabulous and the staff were attentive and helpful without being intrusive. Travelling to London (about 20mins) was so easy Travelcards are available from machines at the station, zones 1-4 will cover all of the city and surrounding areas with the DLR being a 1 minute walk if you go through the restaurant and trains leaving and arriving approx every 6 to 10 minutes till late at night which was perfect for us as the main reason for our visit was to see Peter Kay at the O2 which was very easy getting the DLR to Canning Town and then the tube to North Greenwich took about 20 minutes. Seriously considering bringing my sons down for a summer break as they've never been to the City and I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather stay.Oh and has anyone mentioned the free parking!!

Room Tip: We had a room towards the back which was fine

We stayed her for one night and paid £29 my partner wasnt too keen. He thought it was going to be tacky. However to our surprise it wasnt tacky at all, It was very comfortable, the lighting was good, it was very clean and well kept. I thought it was just too good for £29.
I will definitly be coming back for more!

My husband and i stayed here for 2 nights in April and really enjoyed our stay. The Docklands Light Railway is right next door although this as suspended during our stay. The replacement buses were regular and it was nice to see the surrounding towns on our journey to Canning town. The pub at the hotel was pleasent and the breakfast buffet was amazing.! Because the weather was so nice we had our window open all night and was disturbed both nights by noise on the side road hence me putting poor sleep quality. This was just one of those things and not any reflection on the hotel itself. We found the reception and resturant staff extreamly welcoming and very helpful, have stayed in many premier inns and this one tops customer service hands down.

Hi starlight2,

Thank you for your positive review and i'm glad my team made you and your family feel welcome during your stay with us. I apologise that you were disturbed by the noise from local traffic / residents - its always frustrating when factors beyond our control disturb our guests but i'm glad this didnt spoil your experience with us.
I'm really pleased that you enjoyed the breakfast as we have have recently extended our breakfast times to finish at 10.30am 7 days a week. Hopefully you can take advantage of our 'all you can eat' breakfast again soon!

Booked this hotel at short notice, for a business trip into London. Easy to find, and right next door to the DLR station, which took us straight into the right bit of London (25 minute nice and easy ride from terminus to terminus). The receptionist was friendly, and very very helpful, giving us information on the hotel, the DLR and the Oyster system. The room was larger than other hotel rooms that I have had at similar cost, and had everything needed for the night, as well as being temperature controlled from in the room. The meals at the pub were above expectation, and the service in there has to be seen to be believed - congratulations Premier Inn, you have set the standard. The final bonus being the free car park!

Hi weastia,

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and that we looked after you in the restaurant. Our proximity to the DLR really does hep guests explore the city and now they have extended the platform to allow 3 carriages per train it means easier journeys to Central London for our guests which is always a good thing.
It really pleases me to hear that you were so impressed with the service we provided so thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. Next time we'll do our best to raise the bar even higher!

Postives: Visited the Premier Inn, Beckton as part of a four day break to London. Chose the hotel for its reputation, price, breakfast, proximity to the DLR (Docklands Light Railway) and the fact that they have free parking for guests. Access to the car park is through a barrier.

Used Google maps to look at the hotel 'live' and and saw that they have rooms facing the main, busy road, the car park and the quieter side roads ~ telephoned a couple of days before arrival (spoke to Vicky) to ask for a side road room on a high floor. On arrival we were given a top floor room looking out onto the side road ~ 10 out of 10!! We were actually told we could look at the room and change it if it wasn't suitable. Room was standard Premier Inn which is almost always good. This was good.

There is a pub attached to the hotel (Winsor House) and breakfast and evening meals are served here. We took advantage of the eat-as-much-as-you-like buffet Curry night on arrival ~ £7.99 pp including a pint ~ reasonable quality food but very well-presented and restocked frequently which meant the food was always piping hot! All bar staff we dealt with were friendly, efficient and helpful as were the hotel staff. Breakfast is the Premier Inn eat-as-much-as-you-like ~ good quality, frequently re-stocked and good selection of both hot and cold items.

The DLR is only a few steps away from the hotel (but no noise) and there are very frequent trains into London ~ direct access to the Tower of London station (no changes) which is a good starting point for sightseeing. Cost of a one-way ticket £4 but you can purchase a "rover" ticket for £10 per day (£7.30 per day for use after 9.30am on weekdays and any time on weekends) ~ there is a ticket machine in the station that takes cash or credit cards.

There was a little trouble with a couple of guests while we were there but the hotel staff immediately called the police and the matter was handled with the minimum of fuss. In fact we saw the police come through the bar a number of times during our stay which is quite reassuring ~ not everywhere has a good level of community policing.

Vicky, Florinda and Agne ~ excellent members of staff ~ definitely "keepers" ~ management take note!!

Negative: The hotel is used by a lot of "contractors" and, because the area offers very few other pubs/restaurants, the bar is full at night as it caters to diners as well as drinkers. Some of the language and behaviour leaves a lot to be desired but this is not the fault of the hotel ~ just be warned if your are taking your delicate maiden aunt in there!!!

All-in-all a great stay ~ thanks to all the staff members ~ if we visit London again we will certainly book our stay with you.

Stayed at premier inn beckton for a weekend break in London. Arrived at the hotel (about 11am) and was allowed to check straight into our room which was good. The staff were all very helpfull and friendly. Our room was very very clean nice and warm with everthing you expect from a budget hotel. The water from the shower was very poor but you do get a bath so we used this instead. The hotel is right next to the DLR station and take around 40 mins to get to the center of london. All in all a better than average budget hotel
