“Everything you need, just 1 small gripe....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Great hotel, 5 minute walk to Earls Court station & has everything you need for an overnight stay or for a week. The hotel is about 30 mins by car from Heathrow Airport & close to London City by tube. The rooms were very clean & spacious enough, room to put 2 large suitcases without tripping over them, the bathroom was good size plus tea & coffee facilities. Based on TA reviews i requested a quiet room, no issues with sleeping. Wifi is free for 1/2 hr per day & had no problems logging on. The hotel has restaurant & bar, great breakfast - hot & continental & a wide selection of options for dinner, try the pizza :) We did the breakfast/dinner deal which was good value!
My only gripe, when we arrived and checked in the first attempt to process our credit card declined, we then tried another credit card which also declined, clearly there was an issue with the hotels eftpos system however the gentleman checking us in made us feel like we weren't being honest and then proceeded to ask us to go and get cash out of an ATM. We were exhausted from a very long flight, this was the last thing we wanted to do. I understand hotels have there policies however I feel the hotel could of handled this situation a little more professionally. We called our bank & there were no issues with either card!

Room Tip: Email prior & request a quiet room away from the railway line

The usual premier inn standard, but.....stayed here for a night, for convenience as hotel was close to an event i was attending, but when entering the room noticed room was literally over the railway line, but thought they won't go into the night, but oh they do and they start again very early. there must be rooms away from the railway as hotel was very busy

Staff however very helpful, nice restaurant for easy food and breakfast good

Room Tip: ask for one away from the railway

Suited us perfectly, a short walk to Kensington High st.
Handy for The Royal Albert Hall, a 15 min walk.
Friendly staff.
Had a quiet night, good value for money.
Service slightly slow at dinner but breakfast good .

Selected a Premier Inn for our London stopover as they are usually very quite and well sound insulated....have even found ones adjacent to motorways and at airports to be very quite.....BUT....this one is located...literally on top of a busy railway tracks and only has secondary glazing....NOT...proper double glazing and not only did you hear the frequent trains, you could feel the vibration

Don't be misled by map or images which suggest that this property is a (short) distance away from the underground and in a quite residential area, the 'underground' emerges a distance from this property and runs directly below the hotel.

The hotel is also a conversion of two, ( presumable office buildings ) with a bridge over the road, which has resulted in quite a confusing and badly signed series of passages and lifts to locate rooms in the different buildings

Very nice hotel in a great location. It is easy to get to from Kings Cross- once off the tube at Earls Court you only need to walk up the road a little and you are there. Hotel is clean - staff are lovely, rooms are nice and quiet, beds are so comfy, bathroom nice and clean. Must admit we went to Greggs cafe in the morning for bacon roll and coffee for £2-great value and it was all we needed = across the road you are at the tube station.

It was fantastic. I didn't expected so much quality for the money I'd paid. Not only the marvellous room and facilities, but also the kindness of the staff
The bed and pillows were completely comfortable, there were coffee and tea facilities, and 30min wi-fi for free
We enjoy the quality of the English Breakfast. There were variety and the food was really good.
I'm sure I will repeat and I will advice my friendsto stay in this hotel.

I have stayed in many hotels worldwide and London in particular. Budget and 5 stars. For London the Premier Inn Kensington is the best value. Excellent location, comfortable rooms, quiet, good shower, great breakfast at a good price (kids under 16 are free too). Good for families and others. One cannot do better anywhere. London hotels are expensive. This one is the best for the price, guaranteed. In fact, your satisfaction is actually guaranteed by the Premier Inn chain. I cannot speak for the other hotels in the chain, but in the Kensington property you will be happy.

Room Tip: Family rooms and baby cots available. Book in advance. The online booking system is excellent too.
