“Clean and fresh hotel near to Paddington Station”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

Nice and clean hotel just 15 minutes walk from Oxford street. A few minutes to Paddington station with Heathrow express and the subway.
In most tourist hotel the rooms are small and also in this hotel but here the rooms are fresh.
The breakfast is good comparing to other hotel I visit in London and it is also included in the price. That is also the case for wifi that worked perfect in our room.
I can really recommend this hotel and I will return.

There are 2 train stations - Paddington & Lancaster close by and Paddington is the last stop for Heathrow Express..
very reasonable rate but a single room & bathroom are very tiny and I mean it... but it actually didn't bother me (wish there were more shelf to store my things) because I was out most of the time.
They keep their facility well and the room was REALLY clean and staffs are very nice.

Room Tip: they don't have an elevator.. so if you have a BIG(or lots of) luggage or bad knee, better to ge...

Great area to stay in, hardly two minutes from Paddington Station and on a bus route that takes you into central London. Situated on an access road section of Sussex Gardens.

The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating.

Breakfast is adequate, like two eggs instead of one - well, just ask.

Will definitely stay here again when next in London; value for money I would think unbeatable.

Room Tip: Single rooms are only on the third and fourth floor; there is not lift; the stairs to the third floo...

My second stay at this hotel, the place is immaculate and offers great value for central London. I have stayed in many hotels in this price bracket and generally I am left feeling somewhere between disappointed and disgusted. The Omega is totally different starting with the staff who are great, the hotel has recently been refurbished, new beds, flat screen TV, usb ports, free wi-fi.
The rooms are well designed making the most of space available and most importantly they are spotless.
If you are looking for a central London hotel (2 minutes walk from Paddington) then you will not find better value than this.

This is a very small, budget hotel in Sussex Gardens (which, for those of you who don't know, is a street almost entirely lined with small hotels on either side). I managed to get a really good last minute deal here (£99/night B&B) for a single room - and jumped at the chance.

My first impression was that the hotel is very small. I was prepared, and the photographs on here do give a fair impression of the rooms. Certainly, the (single) room I was in was about the width of a double bed, and not much longer. The small wet room was reminiscent of an airline toilet or a ships cabin in terms of size, but it did work well. The stairs up (there is no lift) start off OK, but become more precarious as you reach the top. In particular, the top floor stairs are very difficult, and made worse with a very low ceiling at one point (at 5'6", I was only just getting under without ducking) and a fire door inexplicably opening out onto the stairs at the very top - I suspect it was put there for health and safety but it seems so incredibly dangerous.

Having said all that, there's a good amount of storage space in the small area they have to work with - it's clearly been quite thoughtfully planned out. The room was impeccably clean. Bed just comfortable enough for the night. Service was fine. Price was really good and, for a one or two night stay, it does the job perfectly well. I'd probably have felt claustrophobic if I'd had to stay for a week, though.

The Wi-Fi worked very well, although I would say that even though it's marketed a business hotel, there certainly wasn't any space in my room (or elsewhere in the hotel, as far as I could see) to sit down and do any serious work.

Breakfast in the morning (which I think is included for all guests) was a rather uninspiring selection of undercooked bacon, beans (despite me asking for no beans), a poached egg, and a soggy cooked tomato. It was lukewarm, and I think it came from a microwave - certainly a lot of microwave pings could be heard in the small breakfast room in the basement. It was served with cheap toast, uninspiring bakery items, and tea that should have had the teabag taken out about an hour earlier. Skip the breakfast - you'll find much better within walking distance.

I probably wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again. The room was very small, and the breakfast poor. I'd probably seek a bigger and better room elsewhere if I could. But the value was great for such a fantastic location, and I wouldn't say no to coming back here if I was looking for somewhere cheap at the last minute. After all, why come to London and sit in the hotel room?

Location is fantastic. Some traffic noise from the main road at the front. It's about a 3 minute walk from Paddington Station (where you get the train to Heathrow). Paddington and Lancaster Gate tube stations are also a 3 minute walk, and between those two stations you'll get just about anywhere on the tube network if you need to.

Room Tip: Given its size, this small hotel is really not suitable for those with impaired mobility. The stairs...

I have to agree with other reviews that I have seen the rooms are small and the stairs are exhausting. I am not unfit but 5 flights (with an overnight bag) was heavy going - would I contemplate going back down for a coffee (which is in reception) - no. I nearly didn't go for breakfast as that was downstairs again. I'm glad I did however as it was prepared for me and was a good start for the day. The room was clean and well presented although I'm not sure how anyone can shower easily in the toilet. No air-con and on the main road so if you don;t like traffic noise you have to close the window so it can become hot.

Will I stay again - doubtful as I only stayed for the location, next time I'll get on the tube.
