“Fitting for the price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

My family got a good deal on our stay here and what we received was fitting for the price we paid. We originally were booked into the annex, but a friend who booked her trip later and was in the main hotel, asked for us to be in the main hotel as well. They were very nice and moved our rooms for no extra price, but seeing as my sister and I were staying the longest, we could tell they gave us the tiniest room possible to not lose out too much. Our tiny two twin bed room was the size of an average college dorm room. The bathroom was so small we couldn't use the sink with the door closed because there just wasn't enough room. There also always seemed to be things in the hallways, be it ladders or big bags of towels, there was always something in the way.

Location wise, it's great. It's a short walk to Victoria Station where you can grab a coach bus or the tube and there are plenty of cafes and pubs in the vicinity. The surrounding area is also very nice and high class.

Overall, it's a nice place to stay if you're looking for a cheaper hotel that you don't plan on spending much time in. If you're looking for a place to stay that you can feel comfortable hanging around in, then this isn't the place for you.

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and have found the staff very helpful and the rooms clean, if a little cramped in some cases.
Breakfast is better now there is bacon as well as sausages! Many alternatives available from cold ham or cheese, to cereals, croissants, yoghurt, scrambled or fried eggs, baked beans and more.
We like the annexe on Belgrave road as it is so quiet.
So much of London is within walking distance and Victoria Coach Station is at the end of Belgrave Road as is the Rail Station. Good restaurants, pubs and handy shops nearby too.
A very good spot to spend 10 days whilst working at the Chelsea Flower Show.
Broken light bulb fixed as soon as reported.

Room Tip: If you find stairs difficult ask to be not too high up as there is no lift in the annexe (but the vi...

The pictures of this hotel they show on the internet are very deceiving. The pictures make the rooms look large & comfortable. However, we found this to not be the case at all. The room was so small, whenever I got out of bed I opened the window curtains because the bed was so close to the bed. The bed was hardly what I would call comfortable - a double bed and hard mattress. The pillows were like something a child would use. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. It was close to Victoria Station, a grocery store and several local places to eat. The internet was one computer located by the front desk, on a stand that you had to stand up to use! I would say for the price it was comparable to others in the area, but don't know if we would stay there again!!

5 minutes walk from London victoria , this hotel is very convenient for the station, the passport office and lots more nearby. It was April when i stayed, but on arrival the room was cold and the heating was off in my basement room. The aircon didn't heat it up despite being set to hot, and the radiator didn't seem to work while i was there. But for the 1 night i was there it didn't matter so much. The bathroom has a mismatch of fittings but no sink plug. The desk was a little small to work at. Although, the whole room was in an acceptable condition.
It was a room for 4 people and had a full sized fridge. I can imagine it would be a little cramped if 4 had to stay here for a longer period.
Staff were very helpful, opening breakfast up for me 15 minutes earlier than normal to help with an appointment.

Room Tip: it's a city centre hotel in a (large) town house, not a purpose built hotel. Consequently, rooms...
