What friendly staff. Saw to it that all our needs were met, including the requested adjoining rooms. Very handy for the Tube, triple glazing kept all the noise out and the rooms and downstairs areas were spotlessly clean!
Will stop there again on our next visit to London

Room Tip: probably higher up is better.

One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. Offered the following: big room, clean, with comfortable bed, big bathroom with plenty of shelf space, good sized shower & water pressure, nice wide basin sink, free wireless internet and ample desk space for laptop, tea/coffee maker, good mirror lighting, very good temperature control, & excellent breakfast choices. Floor was quiet. Area felt safe to walk around in. Hotel literally two minutes from North Acton tube stop. Tube roughly 20 minutes to central London. Front desk personnel some of the most helpful, cordial, accommodating I have ever experienced. Went out of their way to help - e.g., printed restaurant, shop, bus route directions; showed us Google satellite images & reviewed explicit directions; printed out email; loaned me electrical adapter for stay when mine didn't work; called a company to request item cost; looked up closest businesses (e.g., pharmacy, restaurant) at different tube stops; opened my store-bought beer a few nights; etc. Pleasantly & easily did whatever we requested. They all deserve recognition. Yes, every hotel has some minor inconveniences (so big deal, they ran out of breakfast muffins 4-5 days into our stay; hot water in sink was too hot if faucet moved over more than a little bit; fresh linens every 3 days so towels remained a little wet after maid cleaned room; I don't think they had an alarm clock, so bring your own). Nothing to speak of, just including these for completeness sake. A+ hotel experience; will most definitely stay there again next time in London.

Room Tip: Asked for room opposite tube station just in case trains were noisy; accomodated request easily; nev...

Dear Guest,

Let me state how glad I am to see your elaborate review punctuated with a pretty 5 star rating. I feel ecstatic of the fact that Team Park Royal made sure you felt at home whilst with us. Your recognition and appreciation of team's efforts, although small, but important assistance at every step during your stay makes me feel proud of them.

I understand that in spite of an overall good stay, the lack of certain breakfast options and other minor details seem to have almost threatened to ruin your experience. But I am glad it did not overshadow overall experience and appreciate your understanding. We do have an alarm system however on your television set which can help you to be ready on your scheduled time the next day.

I would like to take this opportunity to assure you that the minor glitches that you mentioned have been taken note of and will not hinder in your next stay with us. We look forward to welcoming you soon.

Regards
Deepak Vaid

Location wise - a few miles out of central London but just a few mins walk from North Acton Underground, Central line so very easy to get into the centre. Despite the closeness to the tube, you couldn't hear any noise.

Room was very clean and bed very comfy.

Breakfast was a pleasant surprise with plenty of choice.

In all, not a bad choice for London

We visited London for the closing ceremony of London 2012 & of course, we picked the Holiday Inn Express Park Royal again. Being next to the North Acton Underground station is a massive bonus! We always spend lots of time at Westfield London, which is just a very short ride with the Underground. For this trip, we could get to the Olympic Park in Stratford directly from North Acton on the Central line. How cool is that? I forgot to mention in my earlier review that getting in from Heathrow & back is also a breeze!

Once again, the staff at the HIE Park Royal are very friendly & helpful. Rooms are clean & we had no problems at all. The area is safe & there's a little Tesco across the street which opens from 6am-11pm.

Our trips to London are usually for shopping & dining, so this little no-frills hotel suits our requirements perfectly!

Room Tip: Ask for a room that faces the station

The hotel is easy to find and well located for North Acton tube station. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and very accomodating of any requests we had. The rooms were a decent size, clean, bright.and comfortable. The bathrooms were modern, clean and had complementary toiletries, which was very handy. We all slept really well and couldn't hear any other guests in the corridor in the night, which has proven to be a problem in other budget-type hotels. The free breakfast buffett was well stocked and had a good selection. The free wi-fi was very handy as well. Checking out in the morning was efficient and the staff seemed genuinely interested in whether we had enjoyed our stay.

My fourth stay at this hotel and it remains a clean and well run
property. Rooms are comfortable, although it sure would have been
nice to have had an in-room safe. Leaving valuable in the hotel
reception safe is awkward, particularly with regards to electronic
devices that you may require daily access to.

Wi-fi is now free to Priority Club members but this hotel certainly
doesn't have a "green" approach to implementing this. Each day, a
stack of A4 paper is printed with code word vouchers. Each day, you
must collect a voucher at the front desk for 24 hours of wi-fi. You
cannot collect more than one at a time - not sure why - so you must
stop at the desk each and every day. It would seem the hotel could
make some pre-paid arrangement with their provider, Bitbuzz, for
unrestricted access but they rely on this cumbersome and bizarre
voucher system instead.

As others have noted, breakfast is identical every day. It was the
exactly the same last year and probably will be next year and five
years from now, possibly ten. With the majority of guests being
continental Europeans, one would expect to find sliced meats and
cheeses but there are none. Nor are there hard boiled eggs. There's
powdery scrambled eggs, sausages, canned baked beans, cereals, rolls
and way too many sweet breads. The best thing I can say about the
breakfast is that it is maintained flawlessly by a couple of
energetic and personable young ladies who manage to replenish food
and supplies and clear tables even at the busiest times. They are
truly remarkable and under appreciated.

So overall, if you're looking for a clean, reasonably priced modern
hotel on the Central Line (17 minutes to Marble Arch) this hotel is
right for you. The quietude of the surrounding residential and
industrial area is a refreshing respite from frenetic central London.

Dear Guest,

Many thanks for your 5 star review and a very detailed one. It is very encouraging for Team Park Royal to learn that consistency of service has been the Hallmark each time on your last four visits.

Feedback such as yours help us improve our service and monitor its quality and ease of delivery to all our guests. Your point relating to Wi-Fi is very well taken and infact, we have taken this up with our service provider. Hopefully, next time time you are around we will have a more amicable business solution implemented or perhaps more effecient alternative to deliver a quality service.

Sorry that we fell short of our commitment to deliver the best Holiday Inn experience possible when you came down for Breakfast. While I understand your point of it being identical, it is mandated by a Brand Standard which allows us to serve a Continental Breakfast & only few hot buffet items. However, this type of feedback from our valuable guests is continuously being tapped and is escalated for assessment. I am also very thankful to you for your heartening comments for our breakfast staff.

Again, thank you for staying with us and taking the time to give feedback.

As other have mentioned, one of the better budget hotels in EU. See my other reviews

Pros:
Nice, clean hotel
Room service everyday without fail
Friendly staff (specially the short indian girl)
Free breakfast buffet (huge deal for us because we walked mostly)
Right next to North Acton tube station

Cons:
15min train ride to central london
Hotel is little on the smaller side

Note: there is a big grocery store (similar to safeway here in california) down the road which is open late. Buy your water bottles here as the vending machine in the hotel is expensive.

Room Tip: Try to stay on higher floor or away from train track as there is some noise from the train. We did n...
