“Very Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

I think I'm going to stop using this site as it seems to be populated by so many whingers! Was quite nervous about this hotel after some of the comments, but had absolutely no reason to be as it was really nice. The hotel was in immaculate condition and the reception staff were friendly throughout. Although we ate out in London so didn't eat in the restaurant, it certainly looked lovely and had we been staying for more than a weekend would have definately liked to have used it.

The only criticism I would have (and this is the same with nearly every hotel) is the presence of a Bible in the hotel room. Surely in this day and age with less than 6% of the UK going to church on a regular basis and with an increasingly multicultural population we can get away from this nonsense.

Its about 5 minutes walk from Fulham Broadway station, in zone 2. its about 30 minutes from the big attravtions. There is no free wifi in the room except in the lobby. Our room in Copthorne only have 2 plugs which was inconvenient for us.

I am staying at the Millenium quite iften, but I am more and more dissappointed. The cleaness is very improofable. Also, Lots of spots on the carpets and sofas, just really used and old.
The TV programm is only for football freaks, four or five british and six or seven about sports, that is it!
I like the Delta lounge, though and it is very well situated in the heart of chelsea, a great district in London.

This hotel is advertised on Hotwire as providing gym and spa facilities to its guests. In truth, these 'services' are only available at a cost greater than the total room cost! My partner and I planned to stay here solely on the basis of these services being available for paying guests. We have stayed in a number of 4 and 5 star hotels booking through secret hotel websites (mainly Hotwire) and every time without fail the gym/spa advertised is available for free. This is the only hotel where we were asked to pay a substantial charge for services we were led to believe were complimentary. This is false advertising and totally unacceptable.

Also, when we asked for glasses at the bar we were told to order them via room service which upon further enquiry we found was subject to a room service fee!

Just returned from 2 nights at the Copthorne Fulham - I booked 2 rooms via Lastminute.com and had stated some room request information. When we arrived at the hotel, the check in was very efficient and our requests had been received and the rooms allocated next to each other. We really enjoyed our Room only stay and ate at Frankies Sports bar next door one evening which serves fab pizza.
The hote staff were really friendly and efficient, the rooms were clean and confortable. The location is excellent for the tube (just turn left out of the tube and walk along or take a bus from the tube stop if you have big bags to outside the hotel). I would return to the hotel again!
The tube station has a Weatherspoons, Wagamama's, Nando's, Pizza Express, Sainsbury's etc and perfect for a few days around London.

Room Tip: We stayed in rooms 408 + 409

Excellent location for nipping in out of london hotel discreet and quiet great location for the tube. We dropped our luggage off before going back into London to meet some friends. We did not use the bar as we went to theater and we were out till late however the breakfast was excellent the next day continental to typical English all hotel staff were very polite and attentive.

Room Tip: We had a corner room that looked over the shed entrance to the ground obviously I would have picked...

I booked this as a 'mystery hotel' for myself and young daughter, that said it was in the heart of 'trendy Chelsea'. The hotels are built in the Chelsea FC complex, so it's more football and not so much 'Made in Chelsea'. There is Fulham Broadway tube station, however, about a 3 minute walk away, inside a small shopping centre where you will also find a Sainsburys, Boots and Starbucks, so it is quite convenient for snacks etc there's a nearby cinema too! Also next door is Frankies Sports Bar and a Marco Pierre White restaurant!! It's about 6/7 stops from Victoria. The hotels are 'OK', although there are 2 entrances, one to the Copthorne and one to Millenium and no signs to say where the reception is located (I found it on the 1st floor inside the Copthorne - some signage wouldn't have gone amiss though!).
The room was clean, a bit dated but fairly stylish, the bathroom was a good size compared to the hotel room and service was very quick as I had a couple of issues with sockets not working, someone came up within about 5 minutes. Not sure what it would have been like on Match Days but the hotels seemed quite quiet. The mattresses weren't the most comfortable and seemed to sag a bit in the middle, but were OK and each room has its own controlled air con/heater. The hotel served the purpose for us to have somewhere decent to stay to see a few sights and meet up with a friend. It's not great if you don't want a lot of tube travelling.
