“Small room, but in a good location”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

Were unfortunately given a room in the basement which gives the room a very cramped feeling as we could not see out of the window. Bed was very small and the doona was too small for two persons to share. The room was fancy decorated, but being small and with a poor bed you forget it looks nice. It was clean, but please remember to remove the spiderwebs in the ceiling when cleaning.
Location is good in Bayswater. No noise from the street.

My wife and I stayed here for four nights back in early July (2013) and we were very satisfied with our stay. The hotel is conveniently located to public transit, and is in a very nice part of town. The rooms are tastefully decorated, and the service was great. The kitchenettes are a nice touch, especially if you're planning to stay for several nights.

Room Tip: We stayed in the basement room at the front of the building. Noise wasn't a problem even though...

My parents (in their 80's) and I booked a triple room in this hotel. It was wonderful. The room had everything we needed. I slept on the futon, which was very comfortable. The bathroom was small but very functional and my parents loved the walk in shower. We had every breakfast in the room and most dinners. There are two small grocery stores within two blocks and a large Marks and Spencer in the Whiteley Mall just three blocks away. I loved having a dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer and two burner cook top. We had NO trouble getting taxis on a busy street just a half a block away.

Great location near 2 rail stations. Easy commuter access to many sightseeing spots around London.
Excellent accommodation, rooms were cleverly thought out and well equipped. (Also Quiet and peaceful). really helpful staff(particularly Phillip), nothing was too much trouble. Close to several restaurants, offering a variety of cuisines which proved to be good quality. Would most definitely stay there again!

My sisters and I booked in for two nights. We were slightly disappointed as we thought there would be three beds. In the end it didn't matter as the couch turned into a great bed with linen provided. Yes the room was quite small but it was also a great price and I loved it. Clean & modern, everything from shampoo and conditioner down to toothbrushes and toothpaste was provided.
The staff were brilliant and extremely helpful, showing us maps and pointing us in the right direction. Special thanks to Philip who managed to flag a taxi for us in the terrible thunderstorm and got soaking wet, our hero!
Would def stay again, maybe Christmas.

We chose this hotel because it had good tripadvisor reviews, was close to the tube and had a little more space than a typical hotel room would offer. Be aware though, that this is not a hotel, so you don't get your room cleaned, beds made and clean towels every day, although they will come in and change linens at the end of each week if you are here that long.

We had room 101 on the first floor (2nd to those of you who don't have a ground floor), reached via the zebra patterned staircase. (There is a small, slow elevator, but it was easier for us to take the stairs).

101 is a studio apartment for 3. There were only 2 of us but we figured it would give us more space. There is almost a whole wall of floor to ceiling windows and the room is light and airy. The bed is an english style king, (so a bit narrower than we are used to), which has a remote control to raise it to sitting position and back. I didn't really care about that as much as the mattress being comfortable, which it was. The third bed was a futon. The man at reception was nice enough to dig out some non-feather pillows for me and gave us a guided tour of the apartment, showed us where everything was and how everything worked. He also came up twice, without complaint, to reset our room safe which we kept messing up. Our fault, not the safes'!

The apartment had a microwave and cooktop, but no oven. Fridge and freezer, basic pots, pans and utensils, dishwasher and washer/dryer combo. We only used the microwave.

The bathroom was small but fuctional, and had all the things you need including toilet, sink, rainforest shower and spotlights at buttock level to emphasise your cellulite in the shower. Really? Yes really. They left enough toiletries for a week which was nice.

One other unexpected bonus was that it appears the neighbours cooker vented through our air conditioner. We could smell what they cooked!

The hotel is in a good location, about 10 minutes walk from Bayswater and Queensway tubes. Lots of pubs and restaurants nearby on Queensway and Westbourne Grove.. The area felt pretty safe and we had no qualms about walking around at night. I will mention that down the end of the road was a hotel called "West Two", that was more of a hostel and had seedy looking people sitting on the front steps smoking and drinking at all hours of the day. We tended to avoid walking by there!

We found a launderette that would do a service wash, just around the corner from the hotel.

All in all we found the SpaceApart Hotel well located, the room clean and well equipped and the staff polite and helpful.

Room Tip: Room 101 is large, bright and airy. It's a triple, but they will sell it for a couple.

Stayed over 3 days and couldn't fault room in any way. The location ideal for city and proximity to 2 stations will satisfy any user. The staff helpful and rooms well furnished. Local eateries and supermarkets enable catering needs to be met.
