“Very good - nice, clean and modern with excellent service.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

1st appearances are good - genuinely friendly welcome and warm chocolate cookie on arrival., Rooms are well laid out and modern - great lighting options and TV via Mac PC control with free wifi. No kettle but thats a very British comment these days!
Very good breakfast and the Hotel is well placed with Pimlico underground 10 minutes away.
Did also try a walk to Victoria which is just a bit too far - probably 25 minutes. Anyway I'd certainly return.

“Absolutely the place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

Excellent location, fantastic staff, clean/modern/very comfortable rooms, and delicious breakfast! Go for it....it works! Our room was 1321 and it faced the "other way", not towards Parliament, Big Ben, London Eye, etc. So if you want that view, ask for it! Breakfast was delish - don't miss! Scrambled eggs don't look that good, but are excellent!!

Short walk to Pimlico Station on Victoria Line and Westminster Station by Big Ben/Parliament. Easy walking to many sight seeing things, Covent Gardens, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, etc. Really convenient!!

Only drawback.....sandpaper towels! Truly, robes and towels were VERY rough! If only they had soft towels, we would have NO regrets!

Thanks for a great stay!!!

“Great hotel! Great location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

I have stayed at many hotels in London, this is one of the best yet.

5 mins walk from Pimlico (underground), and several busses going in all directions just a street or two away. Get an oyster card and go explore London from this central hotel. It is close to everything, but in a really quiet area. No traffic noise in the room, not even a sirene from emergency vehicles.

The room was very clean and with everything you need. Easy to adjust the temperature in the room to your comfort.

Wi-fi in room worked great, it was nice to be able to check emails and surf for free.

We didn't have breakfast at hotel, as I find hotel breakfasts usually very expensive and not that great. Just 2 mins away was a Pret a manger, with a large selection of warm and cold sandwiches, juices and nice coffee.

Also visited a local pub on Friday night, it was nice to have a drink there before going back to the hotel.

Easy access to the walkway on the South Bank side of the Themes, so the location of this hotel is just superb. Look no further.

Note: I got a 40 % off deal online!

Room Tip: Room facing an office building was especially quiet.

“Convenient, bed a bit uncomfortable.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

I stayed for one night on 19/11/12. The hotel is pretty easy to find from Pimlico tube station, about a 5min walk.

Staff were welcoming (no queue to check in which is always a plus) and the warm cookie offered was a nice touch.

I was allocated a room on the seventh floor with a "king bed" which unfortunately turned out to be made from two twin beds, so you had to put up with an unpleasant "ridge" in the middle of the bed.

The room itself was what you would expect for the price - clean and functional. The drawer arrangement concealing the tea/coffee facilities was a little odd. It was rather nice to have an iMac (and free wi-fi), and there was a surprisingly good selection of TV channels which is unusual for this country. The bathroom was clean but tiny and featured only a shower cubicle, hopefully they will refurbish these soon so they offer a better-quality shower.

Overall I'd say the hotel does what it says on the tin. Key plusses were the location and iMac, minuses being the bathroom facilities and sub-standard bed.

Room Tip: Avoid the front of the hotel if you want to lie in - major building works accross the road.

“Excellent for a theatre trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

The hotel is a few doors away from the Tate Britain, the 88 bus which goes to Westminster and Trafalgar square stops by the Tate. Pimlico underground is about five minutes away which makes the hotel easily accessible.
The hotel has clearly been recently refurbished and check in was very swift. The City Cafe is on the ground floor and there are two lounges: the Millbank on the first floor via a stairway just past reception and the Skyview lounge on the 14th floor. The rooms are comfortable and are supplied with an Apple computer/television with free WiFi.
Breakfast was in the City Cafe with the usual wide and varied Hilton range, on the Saturday morning I was there it was absolutely packed. Breakfast was included with the room however if you choose not to opt for breakfast at booking it is £21.50 each if you change your mind.
