4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2012

A good cheap hotel to an excellent location! The room was not big but very clean!!!!!!! The stuff was friendly, I did not have the breakfast so could not comment on it! I recomend it to anyone who wants a cheap hotel just to relax.

The staff was ridiculously unhelpful! I read the reviews and thought, "Oh, but it's in Rick Steves' book, it'll be fine", I was wrong and so is Rick Steves! The hotel room was small but that was something we could deal with. The lighting just makes you feel like you’re in a horror movie. The shower curtain was disgusting! The pillows were flat and I wouldn't have dared ask the staff to help in getting me another one. There is no air conditioner (not sure if this is normal in London, but our Paris and Edinburgh hotels did have it). We were traveling with our 22 month old daughter. On the day we were leaving, we left at 6am before they began serving breakfast; I asked the man at the desk if they could give me some milk for my daughter. He told me they didn't have any. Seriously, you don't have ANY milk and you're serving breakfast in an hour? I would have rather he just told me I'm sorry we can't give any food when we're not serving breakfast instead of we don't have any. Very insensitive! It really summed up our stay at this hotel!

Room OK, dusty but clean enough, due to split walls (stud walls) if there should be guests out and about dont expect a good nights sleep - you can hear everything & dont run over the allocated breakfast times or exepect to be told off!! thats if you are told the correct times on check in.

Good price and location, but having no hot water is NOT acceptable. Corporal punishment. Have to use shower to fill kettle as basin too small to facilitate. Shame as not too bothered about the decor, etc but do expect a warm shower.

Our stay was nice. The beds were quite comfy. And the private bathroom was very tidy. There was a slight smell the first day we arrrived, but after cleaning the smell clearly had gone. The staff was quite friendly and helpful.
The location is literally a five minute walk from Victoria Station.
Definitly a nice hotel if you plan to shop around in London.

Excellent location, comfortable with good breakfast. Very helpful staff.

Room Tip: Try to avoid the front as its a little noisy.
