“Nice hotel, good situated”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2014

Nice hotel, situated 4 minutes walking from Paddington Station in an quit street. Our familyroom (nr. 2) was nice, double bed, single bed and a bunkbed, tea and coffeefacilities, one chair, writingtable, closet, mirror and flatscreen TV. Nice and clean bathroom (great shower, double washbasin, toilet, towels). Breakfast: tea, coffee, orange juice, milk, cereals, toast (as much as you want), marmelate, boiled eggs, scrummbled eggs and full english breakfast.
Staff was kindly. We enjoyed our stay in this hotel.

We stayed 3 nights in a family room with our two children. The room was warm and clean, the staff were friendly and attentive and the location was perfect. We were within easy walking distance of Hyde Park and Marble Arch, and on several bus routes (more fun than the underground, which is also very near). The breakfast was good. All in all, excellent value for money.

Stay there for 2 nights, first time come in the room heating not working before I go out tell staff to get fix one hour later she said technician sorted it out for me it takes sometimes to heat up as long as the red button shows up that's fine. Coming back at 1.30 am waited until 2 am the red button still light up but no heating what so ever I have to put myself sleep in the freezing room. Complain to staff in the morning got the electric one for the second night then when I checked out of course I don't want to pay fully price for the first night and I asked for discount but no responsibility even their fault careless!

Myself and my parents stayed here in June 2011 and I can say it was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
The room was tiny, the wardrobe and safe were broken in the room, the shower was leaky and made loud noises during the night.
The staff were rude and unhelpful and seemed uninterested in doing any work. We had asked they about the safe and shower during our 4 days and nothing was done about them.
The breakfast was ok but very small for the prices that were being paid.
The only positives is that it was in a lovely street and great location. If I went back to London I would stay in that area but avoid that hotel

We stayed at this hotel on 14th and 15th Feb 2014 for valentines weekend, now let me start with the pro's.... Great location 5 min walk from Paddington station and no more than a 30 min walk from royal Albert Hall, natural/science museums and harrods, cheap for the area, comfortable room with basic amenities. Cons.... Unprofessional staff the day receptionist seems to like to ring people up before their stay and inform them there card has declined due to a problem with booking.com and to pay direct through them (thus not having to pay booking.com) after talking to other guests we discovered we weren't the only ones to receive such a call, also caught him smoking in the lobby, window didn't shut properly and the 80 mph winds we were experiencing blew the stained blind all over the place.... Didn't make for a great night, breakfast was basic and the "full" English was a joke 1 dehydrated sausage, 1 burnt rasher of bacon a few beans and a plastic like egg... The rack of toast was full of the end slices from a loaf, and each item of China and cutlery was stained and had old dry food stuck to it.... This was repeated on both mornings. Basically if you want a cheap and cheerful roof over your head in a good area whilst you explore the city and aren't too bothered with any frills then give this hotel a go, just keep your expectations low!!!!

My daughter and i shared a twin room here and agree with other reviewers about it being close to paddington station and around a 10 minute walk to oxford street ☺️ My only complaint would be the bath towels supplied are small ! the staff are friendly and attentive and because we catching our train late they let us leave our luggage for the day i would stay again

Room Tip: We had a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the back it was fine 😊

Stayed here for 2 nights with my 19 year old daughter. Even though it stated a 2pm check-in we arrived at 12.00 and were offered 2 choices of rooms either a twin or double. We were actually given keys to both rooms so we could decide which we preferred which I thought was good of them. We chose a double room which although small was clean and comfortable. A very small bathroom but again was clean with plenty of clean towels. The reception staff were very helpful. There is a card key system to the doors and this is the only problems we encountered. The card didn't seem to like us and we had to replace it a few times. It's location is great for Paddington Station about a 5 minute walk and there is McDonalds, Costa, KFC and plenty other restuarants and eateries within walking distance. The full English consisted of a rasher of bacon, fried egg, beans and 1 sausage! Not my idea of a full Engish but sufficient with plenty of toast, tea & coffee, juice and cereal also available. Was quite sufficient for us. Its a great budget hotel, clean and comfortable with pleasant staff. Would use again!
