“You get what you pay for”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

We found the location to be very nice. Just a short walk from Paddington Station in a quiet area not far from Hyde Park. The room was pretty dreary, not fantastically clean, but for an overpriced city like London, it's fine for a budget conscious traveler.

Many people have commented on the lack of elevator but please do understand that if you are on the 3rd floor that you are actually climbing 6 floors due to the way the building is set up. We were fine but we traveled with packs not luggage.

Great location, clean, safe area close to the center and next to Hyde park, but the hotel is far not of a 3 nor 2 start category !
Very simple rooms with small double bed for 2 without normal duvet or cover !
Windows do not close well, it was very cold in the room.
It's a pitty that at a hotel with such a good location they do not take care for good sleeping conditions . Positive that they provided tea-kettle with tea and coffe bags in the room.

My girlfriend and I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights (Monday - Wednesday) and we couldn't have asked for better service. The location is great; the hotel is less than a 5 min walk to Lancaster Gate underground station. Each day when we returned to the room there was fresh towels and the bed was made. The room and en-suite were very clean and there was breakfast served every morning. The value for money is incredible, and this hotel deserves an excellent review.

Room Tip: There is no reason to not stay in this great hotel!

The hotel is located in a very nice area, near two underground stations (Paddington, Lancaster Gate), in a 5-minute walking distance from Hyde Park. Although the rooms are rather small and only have the basic facilities, the hotel is a good choice if you just need a place to sleep. It had a satisfying breakfast, it was clean and overall a good value for money.

Room Tip: The reception is across the street. If it is possible, ask for a room on a lower floor, as there is...

I travelled for 3 nights. Hotel is located very well. To the Lancaster Gate underground station (central Line) there is 3 minutes walk.
Also 3 minutes to Hyde Park, 1.5km to Oxford Street (Marble Arch).
Room were refreshed and very clean. (everyday room was cleaned).
Breakfeasts were simple but fair enough for 3 nights (normal continental breakfast: cherios, toasts, jam, chees and eggs)
The only disadvantage is that there is no lift and to climb 4th floor is exhausting (no problem for me :)) and no wi-fi in rooms (just in reception - bulding accross the street)
I was very satisfied with staying at Paddington Hotel and if travel again to London for few days I will take into consideration visiting this hotel once again.

Room Tip: If you do not like climb stairs - do not choose 4th floor.
