“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013 via mobile

You will feel so welcomed in this restaurant unlike the other ones around. I usually would go Gokyuzu just next door but realized Hala's food tastes a little better and definitely lower in price compared. The staff are friendly, you receieve complimentary grilled yummy bread, salads, houmus and dips for starter and complimentary tea and pastry after you finish, which is so lovely! I love their seabass, or I just get the platter and share with my partner, but there is always left over! It tastes absolutely amazing, everytime I just want to bury my face in the food. Please note I have probably been here over 100 times, and not once I complained, I went for lunch, dinner and even late evening. Always spot on. I recommend 100% for anyone of all ages, of all groups. Halal!

“One of Green Lanes finest places to eat.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

We drool just looking at the takeaway menu.

Chicken, lamb, quail, liver....all prepared in many dishes.

Exceptional; eat in or as above.
Friendly service.
Small premises, but great.

“Great food and great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

We visited this restaurant last weekend for the first time, after visiting the nearby Gokyuzu several times. The menu is virtually the same, as with all the restaurants on Grand Parade, although the restaurant is a little smaller.

We don't bother with starters usually, as the complementary bread, salad and dips are enough. The bread here was especially good, warm out the oven and well spiced.

Main courses sampled included the massive meat platter, all very good, sea bass which was good also and a Hala speciality - lamb meatballs which were pleasant.

To end the meal, complementary Turkish tea and pastries were a lovely touch.

Due to the size of this restaurant, service is more attentive than the Gokyuzu, in which the staff are always rushed off their feet. The value is equally good, a fantastic price for a very good meal - you will struggle to find better value and quality anywhere else in London.
