“Great Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW via mobile

I was a bit apprehensive about staying in this hotel as we usually stick to the well known chains. However, the location was perfect and the price was great so we gave it a go.

The hotel looks amazing from the outside. Check in was very quick and easy. The desk staff were very friendly. We had a triple room which was a fair size. The third bed was a proper bed and not a sofa bed of pull out. The bathroom was small, but adequate. It was very clean.

The hotel staff were happy to look after our baggage on check out day which is a saviour if you're travelling from Paddington. It's only a 2 minute walk.

Overall...great location, friendly staff and clean.

We traveled to London with no hotel reservation which turned out to be a good thing! Happy to have found this hotel, such a nice location in a street full on places to eat & drink and a couple of minutes away from Paddington station, where you can have direct access to Heathrow via train. We stayed in a suite,a cozy little apartment with a small kitchen - fully equipped - allowing us for to prepare some quick meals, although you have plenty of options outside anyway. There is a supermarket nearby (Tesco - 24h open but only sells alcohol until 11pm if you're interested!). We also had a little living room with tv & dvd player. Nice staff - particularly the Portuguese. The hotel has it's own restaurant, a brazilian Rodizio, worth a try. Make sure you're hungry! You have to pay wi-fi and it's not really cheap. Best if you just go across the street, have a burguer and use their free wifi. Lastly they will store your luggage, for that last day of touring London. Overall a nice place to stay, we thought of staying only one night and then look for something more within our budget but we ended there our 5 nights and was worth it. We got an ok rate for the suite but if you don't need all that space and facilities than you can find some other options around that same area.

Positive:
- Good location. Close to Paddington station.
- Friendly staff.

Negative:
- Very small room and bathroom. May work for single traveler or a couple, but with kid I would not recommend.
- Bed was extremly uncomfortable and bedframe very unstable. Bed made loud noises as soon as you moved in it.
- Unbearingly warm rooms (even in September) making it hard to sleep well.
- Baby cots needs to be checked over and replaced, we got two broken ones.
- Broken phones.

We would not consider this hotel again if we went back to London.

Stayed one night whilst on business. If you are allocated a lower ground floor (box) then I suggest you refuse.
Rooms in this area are ridiculously small.
No aircon & uncomfortably hot.
Open window to the racket of aircon units above.
Another example of London hoteliers squeezing rooms in areas that they should not be allowed. Whilst they get away with it they will continue doing it!!

It is very close to Paddington Underground and Railway station, 3 minutes walk away.
Rooms are not exactly economical even when booked on promotional rates.
The rooms are so small, we stayed in a triple room (double bed + single bed) and there's no where to open our 26" luggage without hitting anything. The bathroom is small whereby the shower has no space to turn. However, due to the location it is very likely I will rebook this place if the promotional rate is still on.

Room Tip: 15 minutes free wifi only

When looking for a hotel near Hyde Park chose this one as it specifically states they had parking, had eight spaces so we had to dump our luggage and go trawling around for parking. Twin room was hot, very small and not at all comfortable.

Room Tip: If you want a nice hotel with good amenities, go somewhere else.

The location at Paddington could not be better - just a few minutes walk from paddington station. The room was the tiniest I have ever seen any where in the world. the bathrooms were even tinier. You cant showers without knocking your elbows against the tiles. I asked for a room change and the girl at the reception advised that I had one of the best rooms and that the rest were small (??!!!).

Being on the main street - the street lights were bang on my 1st floor room so I had no sleep. the hotel phones did not work so I could not receive any calls in the room, but had to step out to make business calls. No wi-fi and the hotel had no restaurant open for lunch or breakfast. very dusty and old faishioned. Almost like I was taken back in time to the 17th century. Would never stay here again! Expensive and no value for money.
