“Simple, adequate and convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

Very convenient, comfortable, clean, cozy and nice folks. It's about a min walk from King Cross and St Pancras. Free wi-fi was very convenient. They could do with some variety in the breakfast line though. Will absolutely consider it again and well worth the value.

Room Tip: Choose a room that's on the 1st or 2nd floor in the main buidling so that wi-fi signal is strong...

We stayed for 5 nights. Hotel very near to train station, St Pancras International (5mins walk). Very conveniently located. Staff very helpful and friendly especially Mr Vaidas who helped us with the luggage up two flights of stairs. Room very cosy.

Stayed one night on a business trip. Couldn't be more convenient for Kings Cross station, easy to find, friendly reception staff, clean hotel. Room was very small (as expected) but very clean and neat. Be warned there is no lift so if you are on the 3rd floor (as I was) it is a long way up! Bed was comfortable, tea facilities were provided, tiny hanging space was good for my coat and the bathroom was just right for one person although it was up a large step which I had to remember in the middle of the night. The plug hole in the sink needed clearing but no big deal to me. Breakfast was basic continental but plenty of it with helpful staff on hand. My only complaint - and one I heard from other guests - was how weak the tea was.

This is not a luxury location but it is functional and convenient. For £55 booked at the last minute I would certainly use this hotel again.

Room Tip: Bear in mind there is no lift to access the upper floors. Some rooms face main stairway and walkways...

Terrible.- We arrived and the reception looks lovely and clean so we were optimisitic.
3 floors up and no lift and no offer of help at all. Tired children needing their bed - not good.
The room was ok very tiny and with the buggy and suitcases there was no room for anything else - to the point you trip over your luggage.
I went downstairs to ask the receptionist for my small child to have some warm milk - She was too busy having a personal conversation eventually she put the phone to her top and i asked her for the milk and she said No sorry and returned to her conversation... Thanks then!
The noise is horrific. The beds well not one of us slept a wink so uncomfortable - I couldnt stand up in the morning after hurting my back carrying the luggage and then sleeping on the worst quality mattress ever.
We had asked the night before if there was any chance of taking breakfast with us 15 minutes early and surprise surprise the answer was No.
The only advantage is it is 2 minutes from St Pancreas international and we had an early start on the eurostar.

Avoid avoid avoid...Its not like its cheap - 2 hotel rooms were £185.

Room Tip: Just dont stay here.

We chose this hotel for its location near to Kings Cross station. It id virtually across the road and this made it very convenient for the tube into central London but also for our return journey. This hotle is what its star award indicates - it is basic wjthout too many frills. However our room was very clean and although it was very small, had a TV, en suite, tea making facilities and somewhere to hang your clothes. It did lack drawer space which did cause minor problems. The reception staff were very helpful and polite (and apparently honest - I accidently left my leather gloves in reception but the staff found them and kept them for me). There is a facility for leaving your bags when you check out which was helpful as our return train to Scotland wasn't until late afternoon. This allowed us to do some more sight seeing before we left. I don't know where a previous reviewer had their "English" breakfast - the only option we could see was a continental breakfast but that was basic but fine. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful. There are rennovations going on in the hotel but we didn't find them intrusive.
Overall the accommodation was very good value for the money but the size of the room would have had an impact if we had been staying for longer. 3/4 days would be the max I would think before the lack of drawers and storage space would have played on the nerves.

Stayed here for 3 nights during a visit to London. Located just few steps from King Cross and St Pancras. We were leaving London to Paris Disneyland via Eurostar which was a reason of choice. The English breakfast is awesome and the breakfast staffs are polite too. Prices are decent for the location and room is adequate with TV and separated bath and water closet. Check in/out was hassle free and fast.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my Father during a recent trip to London. It is a small hotel located amazingly close to the Kings Cross/St Pancras terminal. We were leaving London via Eurostar which was the reason for the choice, along with the decent price offered for central London. Check it was easy, although we did receive a double when in fact I reserved a twin room. All the staff was nice and helpful during the stay, especially since we had delayed luggage, they let me use their power adaptor instead of having to buy a new one. This hotel does not have a lift, so this could be troublesome for Americans or other cultures that are used to only using elevators, but it really isn’t a problem and not uncommon in older buildings in Europe. The room was small but perfectly adequate, and expected for this area of the world. Bathroom was lacking on sink/counter space but otherwise the size was fine. We had no problems with the shower flooding to the toilet area as others have mentioned and there was a rack to hang our towels on. TV and Wi-Fi worked great! The breakfast was very good and plentiful to get the day going. They offer cereals, meat, cheese, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee, and bread to toast. The only thing I would have liked to see is more bread options instead of just regular slices and maybe some sweets or pastries. We ate it 2 out of 3 days (one day we left too early to eat). The neighborhood is safe and nice. There are several stores nearby, grocery, coffee, and a couple of pubs and Asian restaurants. Also tons of food options in the train station itself if you need a quick bite. I would definitely stay here again when I go to London.
