“Get what you pay for”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

I had 2 nights here with my wife and we got to stay in the cellar, yipee! If you just want somewhere to lay your head after a long day sightseeing then this is as good a place as any, if you are looking for a city experience and American style city centre hotel forget it. The staff were welcoming but like anywhere in the capital the only person with an English accent is Boris. They wrer very helpful and gave everything that was asked of them. Breakfast had a very European feel and we could have been in any number of continental countries with the spread on offer. There was plenty to eat from the buffet menu and the serving staff could understand tea and coffee, what else do they need to know? There was a computer terminal for communal use in the downstairs hall/bar/bag storage/reception area. Overall the building was clean and tidy and not an unpleasant stay for bed and breakfast. Not top of my list for you have to stay here, but very convenient for the Main stations serving the North and good tube connections.

Room Tip: Keep out of the basement if you are expecting to use your cell phone.

Last year my wife & I stayed athe Crestfield & my review was OK but on our return visit we were given a room on the second floor whereas the year before it was in the basement. The basement room was OK but the second floor room was ABSOLUTELY GOD AWFUL I can;t describe how small the room was & I don't think any of the bathroom facilities had adequate traps & there was alway a faint sewar gas odor unless you were running the water then it was ok. DON'T stay here.

I choose this hotel mainly because of its proximity to the St Pancreas International Station since I will be travelling to Paris the following day. It's just ok for that. There are no intercom in the room so if you require any information from the reception will will have to get down from your room! I've not seen anything like that anywhere else! The water pressure in the shower was frustratingly so low.

The staff are averagely helpful, the room is clean and the black dog welcoming guest can be scary but friendly afterall. The free wifi comes with great speed.

Good for a stop over or transit because of it location to major train stations.

Room Tip: There is no elevator and intercom in room so it will be advisable to stay on the ground floor.

This was our 4th stay at this hotel, we always ask for a low floor as we are retires and are always satisfied. The hotel is very clean, the reception staff are all smiling and very helpfull, breakfast is ok. and the staff are very pleasant.Free wifi is an added bonus. What more does anyone want from a budget b and b in London that is in such a great location just across the road from Kings Cross Station

I booked in after travelling all day by train from Milan. Nice welcome from pretty receptionist. Accomodation fine apart from bathroom shower (drained by two holes in the floor). Breakfast satisfactory. Cheerful checkout. Fine location. Good value.

We recently stayed at the Crestfield Hotel, London. While the rooms were small, we found them to be clean and comfortable. Breakfast wasn't too bad. The position couldn't be beat. Minutes from Euston Station and St Pancreas Station and Bus stops. We arrived from Scotland by train. Caught the train to Paris during our stay. Leaving we caught the underground direct to Heathrow. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. I thought it was good value for money and we would stay there again.

Room Tip: There were 8 of us travelling together so we had 2 x 4 bed rooms.

We chose this accomodation solely because of close proximity to Pancras station as we were catching the Eurostar to Paris the next morning. The room was very small, but clean. We stayed in Room 17, which accomodated 3 adults with a double and a single bed. There was not enough room to have 3 pieces of luggage left out. Double bed quite uncomfortable. Okay for one nights stay, but too small for anything longer.

Room Tip: Ask for room on lower level, too many stairs to climb with luggage to room 17.
