The best thing about this hotel is not the great location or clean renovated rooms. It is the welcoming staff, who seemed very happy to meet any of my needs.
Above that, I requested checkout at 2 pm instead of 12, and the reception staff fulfilled my needs immediately.

This hotel is a charming one and is closed to Hyde Park and London's main attractions. The nearest Tube station (Lancaster Gate) is only a 5 minutes'walk from the hotel. Regarding the room itself, the one we stayed in was clean & modern, with a comfortable double bed (but not long enough for 1m80+ people), well-equipped (fridge, microwave, usb-charging socket, free wifi...), but the bathroom was really tiny (impossible to close the door while using the toilets) & the heating didn't work. These little drawbacks did not deter us from a great stay in London ;)

My husband and I visited London for his 60th birthday in January. The location of the hotel, near Paddington Station and Lancaster Gate tube station made it a great spot for getting to and from LHR as well as around the city. Located in a quiet neighborhood just north of Hyde Park, the hotel was modern and clean. The staff were wonderful. Our flight arrived early in the morning and the hotel had a room ready for us! The room was small, but we do not mind a small place to sleep! It was equipped with a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, coffee, tea,
cookies and fruit...all complimentary! (We booked a standard room. An upgrade to the Club Room rate is available and offers a larger room.)The staff recommended restaurants when we inquired and offered assistance with directions and routes of travel on the tube. The breakfast, which was included with the room rate, was excellent. The buffet not only offered the English breakfast advertised but a very nice selection of fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, bread, yogurts and cereals. We were greeted with smiles and friendly conversation each time we entered the lobby. At the mere mention that Saturday was my husband's birthday, the staff sent a birthday cake and card to our room while we were out and decorated the room with balloons on his special day!
We have previously stayed in a nearby hotel that we we have always enjoyed. However, we will be staying at the Park Grand Lancaster Gate on our next visit to London!

We stayed here for a weekend break and choose this hotel based on location, price and the excellent trip advisor rating. We were not disappointed! On arrival we were warmly greeted with warm towels and orange juice. We were then informed that the heating had broken in the hotel and so we were given an upgrade to a suite in a neighbouring property. This was a very spacious room, clean and very comfortable.

So why not a 5 score? Well, as other reviews have stated the breakfast slightly let things down. It was quiet cramped and the scrambled eggs were not nice. We were also given the breakfast complimentary so it would be a bit mean to complain, but had we paid the £27 for two we would have felt very disappointed. If this place can just make a little more space for breakfast and improve some of the ingredients it would be perfect!
We would definitely recommend this hotel and will be choosing it again for our next stay in London.

From the moment we arrived till the time we departed, we found that the staff went out of their way to make us welcome, and ensure that we had an enjoyable contented stay at their hotel.
Clean comfortable rooms, other rooms, lifts, and areas all very clean and well presented.
An excellent variety on display for breakfast to satisfied all tastes. Dining room a little cramped - but the lay-out of the dining room furniture is good considering the size of the area. A well presented hotel hotel where we enjoyed a nice 3 night stay.
Location - a few minutes walk to Hyde park and close to London bus routes and Underground station.

I'd decided to take my wife to London for a surprise break and this recently refurbished hotel caught my eye. The reviews on 'tripadvisor' seemed almost too good to be true, but the hotel description seemed to match up so I made the decision to book one of the Club rooms as we would be staying for 3 nights. As I wanted to make the visit special for my wife, I contacted the hotel to have a nice bottle of something in the room on arrival and was asked if it was a special occasion and I just said that I thought she deserved a nice treat.
We arrived early with the intention of leaving our luggage and heading out, but the girl at reception said we could wait in the lounge and our room would soon be ready! After what seems to be the norm at the Park Grand - hot moist wipes and a welcoming cold drink - we were shown to our room and it was laid out beautifully with towels folded into the shape of 2 swans on the bed with rose petals and a nice little box of chocs. What a fabulous welcome!
The rooms was well appointed with a great shower and a really comfortable and spacious bed. Much has been said about the rooms being a little on the small side which is the norm for London, but the Club room was fine space wise. Not really sure about the need for a microwave oven and a little more drawer space would have been good, but a really excellent and comfortable room. The room above us had slightly squeaky floorboards - maybe not surprising considering that it's an old building. Funny story about the shower, my wife always moves the shower head before turning on the water to avoid contact with the cold water - but she didn't realise that what she thought was an air vent on the top of the shower ceiling was, in fact, another water outlet and the on/off lever was to switch between the ceiling and the movable shower head, so she got the cold shower anyway before the hot water started to filter through - much to my amusement!
The breakfast room is slightly cramped with the tables a bit close together, but it looked as if most people were happy enough to manoeuvre themselves around the tables. Like the bedroom (and all other areas of the hotel) the breakfast room was clean and bright and the breakfast itself was delicious each morning. Extra tea and toast were readily available on request.
The location of the charming hotel is handy for everything around the Paddington and Bayswater areas as well as several tube lines and Hyde Park.
From the moment you walk through the door on arrival, to departure and all times in between, the staff are always delighted to be of assistance and really make you feel special. Staff in most hotels I've stayed in have generally been polite and professional, but very few seem to display the level of enjoyment and pride in their job and genuine interest in their guests as the management and staff of the Park Grand.
If you're looking for that special touch, a nice quiet location, but within easy reach of the sites and sounds of London, this really is a great place to consider, you really won't regret it - and the reviews really aren't too good to be true!

Room Tip: The Club rooms are worth the little extra if you like a little more comfort.
