This hotel is family owned, run right, customer focused, and in a great location near Victoria Station. Walking directions below. I was in Room #8 with a balcony (room literally above the entrabce sign). Very quaint and probably nice in the summer, but note that the road is very busy so you will get some street noise. There are rooms on the backside that should not have the road noise. Note breakfast hours are a bit early- 7:00 - 8:30, but they say the tourists want to eat and get going.
Bus #24 will be your friend, stops right in front of the hotel. Load up an Oyster card and ride. It goes by Victoria, Westminster Abbey, then on to Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square. No need to fool with the Underground to go into to Central London- Bus 24 is the way to go. So much more calm and scenic.
My cash single rate of £75.00 was very reasonable for this very pleasant hotel.
Hotel walking directions from Victoria Station: Take the Wilton Road exit, turn right, follow the road till it becomes Denbigh Street and then turn left on the next intersection, which will be Belgrave Road.
Swainsbury Market on the way from Victoria has staples and good cold and cooked foods to grab. Two decent pubs near the hotel- Marquis on same street at hotel, and Cask (excellent beers). For Cask- left out of hotel door, first left, a couple of blocks head on your right.
