“Good if you want only a bed to sleep”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2013 via mobile

The location could not be better...... If you have few days in London and want to be close to main turistic points, this is a good place to stay.... But the room is very small.... It looks like a cruise suite, maybe smaller.... It looks like Ibis style. If you are looking for a traditional hotel to stay, this is not a good place..... If you are looking for location and only a bed to sleep, it is a good option due to location and good sleep quality...

From the checking in to the checking out everything went smoothly. Congratulations to the manager and staff on the friendliness and efficiency in the smooth running of this hotel. Slightly more expensive because of the central location, but well worth paying the extra. No noise whatsoever from the busy Leicester Square and the side street below and more importantly no noise in the corridors with banging doors which you tend to get in other hotels. A perfect nights sleep. Bathroom facilities spotlessly clean - everything perfect. Thanks Jackie for the efficient check-in and to the rest of the staff for their attention to detail.

After my earlier fact-finding stay, it was clear that this was the hotel to base my 50th birthday celebration at. From the first instance of planning the stay to our arrival and checkout I was delighted. The hotel is so well situated and the rooms so quiet despite looking over Leicester Square. Fantastic freshly cooked breakfast and an excellent choice for those wanting to eat healthy. But what makes this hotel for me is the level of Service from their team. From front-desk right down to cleaners, friendly, welcoming, patient and efficient. We asked for extra towels, extra duvets, a bit more heating and all was delivered with a smile and attention to detail. When a taxi we ordered didn't turn up, the young chap did his utmost to find us a replacement in the freezing cold. To those I remember by name, Jackie, Ash, Hassan and Chris, the chef, a big thank you. Location and price are always important but if the service isn't good the return business will suffer. My friends, used to posher hotels, remarked that the service was better than in some more prestigious hotels and I agree. Bravo Premier Inn - you have gained 6 new customers!

Great location, friendly staff, very helpful. Nothing was a problem. No issues with noise from the street or from other guests. Anywhere we wanted to go in city, staff advised on travel options and made necessary arrangements. Great nights sleep every night. Will be back for our first anniversary.

We booked this hotel for a 'special Birthday' celebration weekend for my daughter. We had been given a recommendation for this hotel and we were delighted. We were able to leave our luggage with them prior to checking in, allowing us to enjoy a show without the hassle of luggage.
On check in and throughout our stay we were met by naturally friendly staff. We were delighted with our room. It was clean, larger than expected & amazingly quiet considering we overlooked Leicester Square. Whilst we would have loved to have been able to pull back the net curtains to endlessly watch the fabulous view we fully understood this was impossible!!!!! It clearly stated the windows were locked due to safety & the netting was much preferable to pigeons cooing at the window. We are happy to pay a premium price for an amazing hotel but we loved this excellent value hotel which ticked all the boxes required for our stay. My two young daughters were desperate to be able to say we didn't have a comfortable night's stay, as they state they will reimburse you. When they were happily still snoring at 8am (a record) they realised this was not possible. The breakfast was excellent & it was clearly cooked fresh by the chef that was in view behind the counter. Instead of the normally huge serving dishes of food going cold they were a sensible size & the food refilled as required. Without doubt we will be returning next year. Well done Premier inn

Wanted to stay very central to theatre. Surprised at how quiet and peaceful the room was with no noise from outside or inside the hotel. Although quite expensive it was worth it for the location. Will stay again.

stayed there in Nov 13 for the tennis at the o2. wanted somewhere very central for walking about at night, but also easy to get to the O2 ( 20 min walk to the river to catch the thames clipper ). the hotel itself is situated right on leicester square. very good for a first London visit other than on business. next time we'd probably stay a little further west into mayfair as likely to be a bit less manic and touristy at night. However, did exactly what it said on the tin, and the staff were excellent and the breakfast was great, so why only 3 stars .. . We were in room 412, which while large and facing the square, like some other reviews, the room was very dark with us having to have the lights on the whole time. the original windows are recessed quite far back into the building, outside which there are nets to keep pigeons off, so that windows themselves are filthy. inside them is a set of double glazed windows, which are locked shut, and which bizarely have a net curtain permanently drawn INSIDE the double glazing ie zero natural light. the lights in the bathroom ( after a night out in London ) and the brightest and most unflattering you will ever come across. not something that brings much ambience to the evening upon your return to the hotel!!. lastly, and possibly as the windows are permanently shut, there was no fresh air, and both my wife and I ended up with either irritated eyes or blocked noses. Either dust in the air, or the cleaning products that are used, which made the room a generally unpleasant place to stay. so , great location and staff, let down by the room. we've stayed in other premier inns before, but after this I don't think we'd stay for more than one night. This was 3 nights and wouldn't stay again for that length of time

Room Tip: find out if any have windows that open and natural light
