“Small, but perfectly formed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2013

Anyone who loves real ale and craft beer will delight in this quirky, small (actually, tiny!) bar just outside Euston Station. At peak times you have to fight your way to the bar where you can order from 27 or so beers on tap and a massive selection of bottled beers. They vary in expense depending upon their origin, rarity and strength. The bar staff are very helpful in terms of suggesting beers to try and if you can't get standing space indoors spill out (along with everyone else) onto the pavement or try for a table in the small seated area outside. For us, no visit to London is complete without a trip here!

“Like drinking in a public toilet”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

Listing under 'restaurant' is misleading as the only option was a delivered pizza which had to be ordered with half-an-hour's notice. Downstairs the atmosphere resembles a public convenience. Most of the beers are in fact 'keg' with only a few from the cask - so beware. Seating is up a narrow spiral staircase, not for the fainthearted. So busy that staff could hardly keep up and promises to replace beers going off never materialised, despite waiting over an hour. Over popularity spoils what, in theory, could be a fine establishment with some downstairs decoration.

“Great cider selection!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

We only visited the Cider Tap, located in a converted gatehouse. (The beer tap is in the other gatehouse just across the way.) The menu had an extensive list of fifteen plus ciders. The bartender was happy to give samples and suggestions. There is a limited amount of seating downstairs, and another room up a steep spiral staircase, so be careful how much you drink before you head back down!

“OVER RATED”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

Quirky old building converted to a cool and trendy bar with amazingly high number of strange and new beers to try surrounded by cool types and Master Chef winners or........ Cold, cramped bar with a selection of bottled beers right out of your local off licence. Try sitting up stairs where people literally go to toilet in the same room! No joke: there's a cupboard with a toilet for sitting on and one with a plastic trough about 5 metres from the furthest table in the room!!! Yuk.

“Great bar presenting a fabulous range of beer and cider”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

Pop in, relax and sample from a wide range of beers (UK and Worldwide) before heading on your journey. The ideal pub for outside any train station. In fact two pubs - beer to the left and cider to the right if you facing the entrance to Euston.

Only downside the staff could be a more focused and engaging with their clients.
