“Fantastic location, heavenly sleep, modern conveniences”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

Beautifully appointed, around the corner from Buckingham Palace, Parliament, Westminster Abbey and House of Frasier’s Department Store. Charming common areas are beautifully decorated authentic 1800’s and our large room was ultra modern. King size mattress and high quality bedding/pillows delivered a heavenly sleep. Very well insulated, hotel was full and we never heard a sound from adjacent rooms or the street below. Efficient and friendly front desk staff. Room was directly across from Scotland Yard so we felt very safe as women traveling alone. Bathroom is lovely marble, unlimited hot water and plenty of shower pressure. Tea/coffee service in room, flat screen tv, safe, bar, wireless throughout. Underground subway stop adjacent to hotel. Terrific shopping at House of Frasier’s Department Store one short block away on Victoria. What’s not to love? They need two concierge attendants. There was always a line, however, he was top notch when it was our turn for assistance. Highly recommend!!

Room Tip: Our street side room was sunny and very quiet! Good Italian Restaurant "Colosseo" short b...

Dear Madam,

I am delighted to read your wonderful review regarding my team and the hotel. It is so good to receive such positive feedback and it was our pleasure to look after you and your friend. We are in a very good location and being next door to New Scotland Yard makes it an extremely safe area.
Thank you for your great review and we sincerely hope that you will return to see us again in the near future.

Best regards

My parents actually stayed at the St. Ermin's back in the mid-1980's and I had always remembered how much they enjoyed their stay. My wife and I stayed there from June 14 - June 19, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay as well. The service in the hotel was excellent, and the hotel is beautiful. The location is excellent--right in the middle of all the sights and within easy walking distance to many of them. As other's have mentioned in their reviews, the St. James's Park underground stop is right around the corner as well. I would especially highlight Jose Maxwell, one of the concierges--he was most helpful and kind to my wife and I, and we greatly enjoyed our interaction with him. St. Ermin's is an excellent place to stay in London!

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking the courtyard are obviously preferable and have the best views.

Dear Sir,
We love the fact that your parents stayed with us in the 1980’s and that you had come over to see what they had enjoyed! The hotel has of course had an extensive refurbishment since then, but we have kept all the classical features and the grand architecture remains the same.
Thank you for mentioning Maxwell, we are indeed very fortunate to have him with us and I shall pass your kind comments on to him.
Please keep the tradition going and recommend us to your other family members! We look forward to your return.
Best regards

Stayed here for two nights this summer during a trip to London. I will just go ahead and say my only caveat - the location wasn't BAD, it just wasn't the most convenient in the world for walking places directly from the hotel - except for the palace. It IS very close to the St. James's park tube station, so that is a bonus. And it's decent walking distance to Buckingham Palace and Green park. We had a fantastic afternoon tea at the hotel, and would love to do it again some day! Tea was delicious, service fast and friendly, and the scones and treats were great. The hotel lobby is very grand and had lovely atmosphere. Free wi-fi for guests - ask for voucher at front desk! Room was clean, nicely decorated and had a decent amount of space for two guests. Would stay here again some day!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013 via mobile

The hotel is centrally located 5minutes walking to Big Ben, 5 minutes walking to Buckingham Palace, 15 minutes walk to Picadelly Circus, 10 minutes walk from Victoria train station The subway is right around the corner. The subway Station is St. James Park, exit Broadway.

The room is vey nice and clean. The sofa was converted to a full size bed for my six year old. The room is large (room no. 635) and bathroom is Spacious on European standard.

Wifi is free in the room.

Down sides: the shower does not have enough pressure. It is difficult to take a good shower after a long day of sightseeing. The consiergee was way too bus in the morning. I stayed in line for 20 minutes and did not have a chance to ask for simple directions.

I paid 227 pounds non refundable rate for June 22. I guess it is not too bad for London.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the beautiful St Ermines Hotel in the heart of London. We were celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the "International Association of Bookkeepers". The staff were so friendly and helpful especially the girls on Reception. The food was delicious and the bar staff were exceptional! My husband and myself would highly recommend this hotel to any visitor to London. We met some lovely visitors in the bar also, enough said!!!

We stayed at the St. Ermins last week and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to get Tube directions to the theatre and tickets to the Tower of London for our family. The location was great, with the St. James station just around the corner. The hotel was lovely. Our room faced the courtyard and was quiet. I would recommend the breakfast buffet, which had a large selection - be sure and try the chocolate croissants! All in all, it was a wonderful stay and would love to return.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your kind comments regarding your stay here with us at the St.Ermin’s. We are indeed in a very central location and many of our guests comment on the ease of getting around the city as we are so close to major attractions and have St James’ tube station situated next door.

I am really happy to know that you enjoyed your stay in the comfort of one of our courtyard rooms and I completely agree with you about the chocolate croissants; they are not to be missed!

We truly hope that you will return to stay with us very soon,

With warmest regards
